OK, so why did they make such a big deal out of it. Its not like he ate them in the games for a power up or something like that. It just seemed really random and stupid. I even remember one episode of Sonic the Hedgehog having a chili dog vending machine.

I've been watching Japanese episodes of Sonic X...and he speaks in English a lot. Funny English, but English. He says "Shit" in English. It's wild. He goes in to rescue Cream in the second episode, and when the laser camers turn on he says, "Shit! Iku zo!" And he says "I'm all right!" a lot, too. Oh, and he still eats chili dogs.
