Sonic announcement teased for TGA

If it's not Mania 2, I don't give a shit.

Frontiers was a fantastic foundation, I'm hoping for the sequel.

Shadow Generations is their best 3D game to date IMO.

Frontiers was the first Sonic I had touched since 1, 2 and CD. Never gave a fuck about anything else in the series until I started hearing about how weird and different it was. It wound up being one of the best games I played that year. Platted it too. Had a total blast.

Feels like way longer, but yeah, November 2022... dayum

Time got so fucked during those COVID years
Yes but this is just a reveal. They usually reveal long before release and probably will be out November of next year, so 4 years. Doesn't seem that short or long, about average.

Maybe they've settled the issue with Sonic 3's soundtrack too then.
Well they didn't even have to. Simply putting brand new, high quality tracks to replace them would have been enough. Only Ice Cap was good anyway, so it wasn't that big of a loss.

Lets see another dumb take from them.

Perhaps a Sonic roguelike? Sonic souls? Or maybe a Sonic terror game. So much dumb choices for them to burn money lmao

Kinda sad Mania 2 was duped for those stupid titles.

Frontiers sucked asscracks for bus fare. The same issues plagued that game that have plagued games from the so-called "Sonic cycle" for years and years.

I didn't like Mania, the levels were too long and the bosses were annoying. A decent 2D one seems to be impossible to please me these days.
I liked it for what it was but I didn't care about the old levels. Yeah they were different layouts but I already played those zones a ton. The new zones were my favorite.

Superstars was a decent game for 2D despite the choosing of doing 2.5D artstyle.

Superstars felt like the real Sonic 4. Lots for hate for it don't why.

Low budget. Unlike Nintendo, Sega doesn't have the privilege of making simple games and being praised for it, despite the company wanting to teach us to accept it.

Frontiers was awful, Shadow Generations was awesome. I hope they stick to the classic formula of well created stages, and not that bloated open-world horseshit.

Mania 2 would be awesome as well, unlike the ugly uninspired 2D game they made afterwards.

I thought the models for Sonic and crew were perfect. Looked like the 90's art style from Japan. Didn't like the powers gimmick or the level design?

I'm another person that thought Superstars was a decent outing. I also didn't love Mania but I get the appeal of it and people liked it. I think Galactic is the sort of fan-related project I wish Sega would turn into an official product. It looks so good. All original levels. Designed to be what a 2D Saturn Sonic could have been.

Not sure if you're being sarcastic. Sonic X Shadow generations yes.

I mean, this is a remaster in case you didn't notice. Sonic Generations was high praised when launch, so we can't expected anything different from the remaster. The Shadow episode is like a DLC.

Sonic Forces is the sequel to Generations.
