Sonic Collection 2 -- Cube Exclusive

According to the new issue of Play, the one with Death Jr. on the cover. It's in their tidbits section.

It will have:

- Sonic CD
- Sonic the Fighters
- and more

didn't Sonic Collection 1 went to all 3 consoles? This doesn't make sense. (oh right this is sega)

Exclusive for 6 months more likely. Hope they stuff some more "other" Sonic Team games in there... Ristar was easily the highlight of Mega Collection.

To those who've played it, how does Sonic CD compare to the original 2 Sonic games? For me the series was never as good as the first two, although 3 and Sonic & Knuckles are still fun titles.

Sonic CD felt like the "real" Sonic 2. If that helps.

Quality Ive always wanted to play Sonic CD properly.

Never played Sonic Fighters but always wanted to after I saw it on Gamesmater once and hopefully Chaotix is on there 'cus I never played that either!

Wasn't there a Sonic Arcade game (with a tracker ball) that was very rare? Maybe that will be on it :).

Right, here's what I want:

Sonic CD
Sonic the Fighters
Segasonic Arcade
Sonic 3D Blast (the Saturn version)
Sonic R
Knuckles Chaotix
Sonic Shuffle

Chances of that given that Sonic CD was hard enough a port for them = 0

why do they keep throwing around the word "Exclusive" since when has anything stayed exclusive to GC? :(

Liars!

It's called smart marketing. People knew GTASA would come to the Xbox also, but Rockstar didn't say anything till months after its release on the PS2 and after GTASA had already sold millions.

Guys, I just want to point out this:

I haven’t heard anything about a new Nights game, which is sad; Nights was a brilliant game. I have heard talk of a new Virtual Fighter though. Just talk though.

Vectorman isn’t coming out for the PS2. Sega was going to bring it to the current consoles, but the plan was scrapped. And no I don’t work for Pseudo Interactive. Or Silicon Knights. Funny you bring them up though. They will have one of the best games at E3. Outside of Zelda, Nintendo’s FPS (developed by Rare), and PD0, it will be the one of the best showings of E3.

I don’t have details on what game Squaresoft is working on. I know that it will be at E3 along with Final Fantasy 3 and FF:CC for the DS.

I’m not going to give out the secret. It’s going to be very fun; wait until E3. Nintendo is going to roll out a trojan horse: something that looks innocent and weak and them bam, it will be unveiled. Just don’t make up your mind on the first day of E3.

There is not a Sonic game in development for the Revolution. It is an exclusive Gamecube game. This one is totally seperate from Shadow the Hedgehog, which will be multi console (and should hit the PSP as well).

That’s all for today. I will be back. Hopefully Brooke will update his site by then. I want to hear more of what he allegedly knows.

To those who doubted, what do you say now? :D

it'll probably be released exclusively for $40 on the GC and then ported to the PS2 & Xbox for $20 with some extra games included :)

Actually I believe there is another Sonic game, a REAL Sonic game coming out for GC.

Sweet, Sonic CD could make me spring for this without question even though, or because, I've never played it. Likewise for Chaotix, which I would love to get in the same package. Bring it on.

Hey, GC Sonic Collection originally included Comix Zone and The Ooze, but they were axed from the US version.

And Sonic Adventure DX included all the Game Gear games, not just a handful of poorly ones :P

I'd hope it includes Chaotix, but I've actually played Chaotix. If they go to the trouble of writing a 32X emulator, though, let's hope they include a 32X game worth playing. Kolibri, to start with.

People still refuse to realise that this Aries is just a guy with way too much free time on his hands? Look, he "knows too much". Let's say that he has indeed worked for Nintendo at some point in time. Why the fridge would he know anything about projects other than the one he was working on? Remember, Retro had no idea that MP:Hunters existed, neither did IS know about Advance Wars for Gamecube.

ABOUT FUCKING TIME!

i already own the game but it would be nice without having to unpack and hook up the bestly first model Sega CD. Sonic The Fighters is a nice bonus since there was talk of a Saturn port years ago that didn't pan out, though in all likely hood it probably sucks.

i might just have to pick this up upon release.

He made it clear that you shouldn't assume he is an actual developer. Obviously he's not, because he wouldn't know that much. Again, E3 is only two weeks away, so we'll wait and see if he's right.

Oh BTW, can someone hook me up with how many Sonic games there have been in the entire series, and which ones were included in Mega Collection?

Actually this does make sense when one condisers that Sonic COllection 1 was exlusive to the Cube for 2 years.

I didn't pick up the last collection, but I think I'get this one.

What I really want is a Sega Saturn collection, however. I missed Burning Rangers and PD Zwei. It would also be nice to not have to dig out the Saturn for Nights and other stuff.

Sonic CD? Wait wait. I remember in GameFan about the US version and Japanese version of Sonic CD being differently, mainly the framerate being super terrible in the US version!!! Oh, and the terrible "Sonic Boom" song in the US version. :O(

Well, I'm hoping hoping hoping that Sonic CD has an option for both the American and Japanese soundtrack (I prefer the latter).

Chaotix would be great, and yes there was a 2D Sonic Arcade game but finding info on it is really hard...well I couldn't find any. I'd buy it for that game alone.
