People who purchased tickets for certain dates have been getting emails informing them that the show has been cancelled, and asking them to contact the booking company for a refund.

Numerous threads have been posted on the r/PlayStation Reddit page, with players saying their tickets have been cancelled. One thread posted on Monday was from a user saying they had just received an email informing them that the concert in Poland was no longer going ahead.

I bought my tickets on the very first day they went on sale, and about a week ago I booked a hotel, transport, etc," they wrote. "The official website is still completely silent – there's even still a 'Buy Ticket' link, which now redirects to the homepage of the ticketing service. There's no trace of the concert anymore, no mention of it at all."

The thread saw replies from other users stating that their concerts in Sweden, Norway, Denmark, Germany, Italy, and Austria had all been cancelled too. Others have stated that their show hasn't been cancelled, but has instead been delayed, with their scheduled May 2025 performance being put back to 2026.

maybe Sony is finally realigning their focus to actually making games and not just cancelling them or trying to flesh out IPs outside of their hometurf.
 
In a world without direct competition and an uncertain economic landscape companies will take a more pragmatic approach to spending. Layoffs, cancelations, etc. It sucks, but boys, we're approaching a global recession.
 
the music from the pictured games is absolute shite with no place outside of the game. get your head checked if you'd ever think of attending a concert for that
 
Why? Why are they in this position? It makes no sense at all, they literally only had to keep doing what they were doing, what changed inside PS? Ryan left a disaster out of proportions and they don't have AA studios to at least help padding the way while they fix it...

i remember when game music was memorable stuff you would whistle around the house. now almost every big budget game is completely forgetable orchestral slop, where is the melody?
 
The lineup for these concerts was pretty shit.

Idea is good and this could've been a homerun if they did something like "25 years of Playstation videogame music" instead of fucking TLOU and Horizon.

They could also focus only on Psygnosis games or british videogames from 1990 to 2000 (which is mostly the same).

Concerts are usually sold at a loss. These are basically PR events.
So if Sony decided there is no point running PR events because they no longer have a competitor, these concerts are the first to go.

But what exact is the concert good for? It's not like they don't already dominate Europe. What would their customer do, buy an Xbox? The concerts are massive money pits, and Sony is expecting a recession ahead at minimum. Time to button down the hatches and weather the storm.

Because they read the market wrongly and they did not understand their competencies.

Concord was just a total failure top to bottom that showed they had no clue what they are doing and need to change everything about their operation and I am not exaggerating here.

You do realize Sony was likely utilizing their Music department for this and not the gaming department? And Sony Music is actually separate to Sony PlayStation, to the point that Sony Music has their own game studios making phone games.

PlayStation was never perfect, they just failed less than Xbox.

For a few weeks there was an attempt to claim that Xbox never stood a chance because PlayStation is too dominant, and that there will never be a new competitor because they can't beat Sony. I remind everyone that Sony makes plenty of mistakes. But sometimes you can still win while making mistakes.
 
Those concerts are pointless. The beautiful sound track of Stellar blade was not even included. Probably this was under Hulst leadership this concerts, and Totoki is now starting to cancel those pointless concert. What I hope too see is more PS state of play.

They believe they've got Final Fantasy level music on their hands? New God of War music is neutered and sucks ass just like the games, the Last of Us guitar main theme rocks but you can't play 2 hours of that , right? And Tsushima with Horizon ?! Big 😂

I don't understand your meme. That guy is considered one of the best in the instrument in the modern day. The instrument was a lost art because the original musicians were banned by the ancient Japanese government and all the music was lost. All we have now is the new stuff people came up with.

They have, but not in their big shot games.

Gravity Rush, The Last Guardian, Shadow of the Colossus, the original GOW trilogy, Bloodborne, these are top quality soundtracks, but not the face of the present Playstation.
