Right now, MS is the one who is pushing the "power narrative". We don't know how Sony will work their PR.

Honestly this cat and mouse game is tiresome every year. I'm going to be buying both consoles, but I also realize that isn't the case for a majority of people. Even if the Xbox is weaker, I will be buying that console first on launch day with the PS5 at its first or second price cut (as I usually do).

I get why MS is focused on power, because they need every advantage this next gen to not be left in the dust...can you blame them? They got washed, rinsed, and dried, and then folded. They HAVE to be the most powerful console because right now they don't have "enough" proven first party studios making exclusives to bang with Sony on that battlefield. So hopefully Sony will just drop their specs so MS can drop theirs and we can argue over who has better games like we usually do.

We don't know absolutely anything conrete about it - will it be full BC or just first party games will be supported, how it'll work, do we have to download anything from PSN or the games will work of of PS4 discs and only updates needs to be downloaded (if there is any) and full game if you so choose.

I don’t have a PS4 so I don’t care about backwards compatibility at all. I just know it’s the new PlayStation and that’s enough for me!

If they didn't manage to end Xbox's life during the last few years, for sure they won't be able to in the future now that Xbox is in its strongest position it has ever been in. It rather looks like Sony will become dependent on Microsoft though, if they base their future streaming solution on Azure.

You've given your post a ton of thought? The key to SONY's consoles are getting through generations with AAA production, Microsoft can go months without putting out a Halo, Forza or Gears. It's the console war theory.

Normally I would agree but the silence is accompanied by a slew of positive rumors on top of the exciting information we already know from the wired article. They've smartly handled distribution of information so far and built up a great deal of anticipation for this upcoming reveal.

Microsoft is also doing a great job of capitalizing on the silence by being vocal during all these events. It almost seems like a win win situation between the two with one side building anticipation and another hogging the spotlight lol.
