:( VF > all

Those IGN VF5 videos made me want to play VF Evolution again, as they did a couple of weeks ago, when i recorded with my crappy webcam a couple of videos for some friends.
It's been a while since i last played, so it's not that great, but oh well, felt like sharing them.
Akira VS Dural
look at my life bar at the end of the third round :(
Akira VS Goh
quite an easy fight, this one (it wasn't on easy, though)
Akira VS Akira
Just in case you didn't have enough Akira :lol

Snowblind is working on a current gen game
Not that it's strictly germane to this thread but they are working on a PS3/360 project. And their current gen game is basically done and on shelves anyway (Justice League Heroes)

Anyone think Killzone PS3 is gonna be shown? it's been a year and a 1/2 since the trailer... the engine has got to be done by now

PS3 Multimedia Details.

Lots of good, positive reports here.

Thanks for the link.

By connecting a PSP to the PS3 via USB, the music, movies and images that are on the Memory Stick loaded into the PSP become accessible from the video, music and photo menus on the PS3. It's unclear if this is the case when the two systems are communicating via Wi-Fi.

Awesome.

I think it's more of a case of conflicting interests rather than time. Sony are going to be pushing Resistance pretty hard and I think that's the only FPS that Sony want on the consumers minds right now.

But in saying that.... I fully expect at least one surprise at the show. But really don't think that Killzone will be it. I think the best way to judge Killzone is by looking at Motorstorm. That didn't look 100% like it's 'trailer', but it does look really stunning. Personally I think the Killzone trailer was the less 'fantastical' trailer shown at E3 2005 (compared to Motorstorm. But I suppose we'll now for sure either way in 24 hours.

I highly doubt it. They have "Resistance" to promote.

PS3 shall hereby be known as "awesome." Did you hear about VF5 coming to the Awesome?

Awesome runs games at 1080p. Awesome is awesome, but I doubt it is enough to go up against the splorgenborg. We will be assimilated. :(

IMO, this is all about the PS3 launch. I really don't think folks should expect any game announcements outside of the launch window (Nov-Feb or so). They've still got plenty to unveil in terms of the definitive launch lineup, online, the services, Blu-Ray, retail packaging, arcade, downloadable content, backwards compatability, massively promoting the launch lineup (Resistance, Resistance, Resistance) and the like.

I don't think showing Killzone at this event would hurt Resistance. At this point, the press is pretty much on board with Resistance, and proper TV/Magazine advertising is going to start soon.

Gamer's Day is about showing what the Playstation is all about, and what is in the pipeline. Showing Killzone matching the 2005 video would do more to push the PS3 as a platform than push Killzone as a big upcoming game.

Well, apparently, even before Gamer's Day, EA is holding a surprise event. I got this from K0taku (facts are good).
Sometime between taking off from Little Rock National Airport and landing at Denver International Airport I've managed to catch a vicious head cold, as in can barely hear vicious. Thank God for Dayquil.

I'm sitting in the airport waiting for my connecting flight to San Francisco.

I'll be getting in at 7:30 p.m., or more than two hours after Electronic Art's surprise event starts there. I say surprise because they alerted me, and I believe everyone else, about 6 p.m. Tuesday. How's that for a heads up?

The event will feature Neil Young (EA LA), Alex Ward (Criterion), Kudo Tsunoda (EA Chicago), John Schappert (Ea Canada), Hanno Lemke (EA Canada) and Kevin Liles, CEO of Def Jam.

An hour before I land, there will be some sort of special guest. My money is on Will Wright, but wouldn't it be cool if it was Samuel L. Jackson? (I'm not giving up on my dream.)

The EA folks tell me the party, which will have some playable PS3 games on hand, will be in full swing until 9 p.m.

Sony is also having a welcome reception at the hotel I'm staying at, which runs through 11 p.m.

Or I could just go to sleep and hope I feel better tomorrow for the day of receptions, food, gaming and execie talk.

Well? Whaddya think?

That is true. But frankly, Sony really have to have Killzone looking as good as it possibly (and realistically) can be. They can't affrod to show it in a less ready state because they know that will be torn apart alive if it's radically different in terms of performance/looks from the E3 trailer.

Whatever happened to alll that talk about a 'surprise' launch title that no one had heard of, and I don't mean PSM's Oblivion 'scoop'. I thought even 1up Yours was making noises about a launch window game that was a graphical showpiece for the PS3.

Of course, this could all be yet more fan/PR fluff.

You also have full control over the form of audio that the PS3 outputs. From the Audio Output section of the menu, you can select from Dolby Digital 5.1, DTS 5.1 and AAC, as well as Linear PCM with 2ch, 5.1ch and 7.1ch available in 44.1kHz, 88.2kHz, 48kHz and 192kHz. You can also set this to automatic in case you're not interested in the details. You have three audio cable options available: HDMI, optical and AV Multi.

Okay, correct me if I'm wrong here: I think this means I can use my HDMI-to-DVI cable for video, while using the AV Multi for audio.

Please tell me I'm right.

I think they may show up some new games(even if only on video format),like they did at E3.

Note:
Socom
R&C
U.S. price drop

Interesting. EA definately has a lot of titles they could show off, and I doubt any of them will be exclusive to ps3 so this should be good news for everybody (even PC gamers considering spore might show up).

Luke, are you going to this event as well?
