soo tired

thanksgiving break really screwed up my sleeping habits.

I've been staying up past 5:00AM daily, with school in the morning.

last night I got about 30 minutes of sleep.

I'm beat. and I've got a paper due tomorrow and one due thursday.

i'm hearing dinging now, but I'm not sure if it's something i'm fabricating in my head, or outside. A few minutes ago I was hearing the sound maggie simpson makes when sucking on her binky thing.

so tired. damn you halo 2, you ruined sleep for me.
 
4 hours is my normal sleep amount.

this shit is crazy though. I'll sleep for 20-40 minutes at a shot, usually nodding off in this computer chair.
 
WTF is so important that you're willing to lose sleep over?

It better not be videogames...
 
Pfth. Last time I slept I had some creepy dream that was like the "human pods" scenes from the Matrix, except those pods were citris fruits with people inside of them. Lemons, Oranges, tangerines, etc...and people burst out...Lemon people...Orange people...

Scary stuff...I haven't slept since then....or had orange juice.

I was staying up all night during thanksgiving playing Halo 2. Since then though, I've barely touched it.

my sleeping schedule is just so fucked up now that I'm actually my most awake starting at 11:00PM at night and going through until around 2:00PM.

classmates and professors have noticed me unusually cheery and awake in class, and i've told them it's because i keep staying awake all night.

I'm probably stuck like this until after finals when I can just sleep a day off and get back to normal.

Losing sleep can increase hormones linked with eating behavior

WASHINGTON (Reuters) -- People who put on a few extra pounds may be able to blame a lack of sleep for the added weight, according to two separate studies published Monday.

Losing sleep can raise levels of hormones linked with appetite and eating behavior, the researchers said.

In one study, people who slept only four hours a night for two nights had an 18 percent reduction in leptin, a hormone that tells the brain there is no need for more food, and a 28 percent increase in ghrelin, which triggers hunger.

The young men in the study also tended to eat more sweet and starchy foods when sleep was cut short.

"We don't yet know why food choice would shift," said Eve Van Cauter, a professor of medicine at the University of Chicago who led the study.

"Since the brain is fueled by glucose, we suspect it seeks simple carbohydrates when distressed by lack of sleep.

Work/school/social life. I've gone months with only 1 hr of sleep a night. T_T
 
halo 2 is making me lose some sleep. but not that much sleep.

It's more of a "shit, it got late all of a sudden"

Still i'm fucked over this week, I made an effort to get 8 hours 2 nights in a row and I'm still boned.
