I glommed on to her in Foxfire, which also had Hedy Burress whom I liked a lot back in the day, so Gia was just even more of the glorious same. That inflated balloon breast look was never my favorite.

Jolie in Tomb Raider was a great example of picking an actress who looked 95% the part, boosting her to 100% accuracy with a little costuming magic, and then taking advantage of her pretty good acting talent to make a half decent flick.

Sophie Turner has never impressed me with her acting talent or her looks, so unless she gets into SPECTACULAR shape and delivers a kinetic, visceral performance as Lara Croft I'm not really not sure how she got the role over what must be a LEGION of more fit, athletic, boobalicious, and quite frankly, sexier lasses with an equal amount (glass half full) of acting capability.

exactly , also 90´s Jolie had a huge sex appeal which also helped a lot. no doubt she wore a push up bra and the poster is photoshopped 100%.

Regardless of her acting skills, I don't think they could produce anything good out of it.
Let's face it. Tomb Raider was a well made product of it's time, the problem is with modern people/writting is the target audience. Anything that sounds like it's for male audience is already seem as problematic.
The fact that they choose her of all people already proves this movie is 100% destined to fail. I don't think anybody is asking the actress of Lara Croft to be the hugest hot bimbo (would be nice though), but of all women to choose they choose one that has literally zero to offer in terms of body, something that it's crutial to Lara as herself is a sexy women regardless of people having problem with the huge chest. This woman is so dry that she could be pretty much cosplaying as a man.
