Lol, just watched a bit of the stream posted.

Yeah, they're not pulling any punches with the South Park gross out humour, game looks great.

Oh nice, the game has a Hardcore difficulty option.

My only issue with what I've seen so far is how easy it has looked. Hopefully, thats mode lives up to its namesake.

So I watched like a few minutes of that stream posted a little bit ago, here's a couple non-spoilerly things the streamer said;

-He's played at least 13 hours so far, I don't know how far into it he is though.
-He's playing on the PS3 version and says there's a lot of annoying slowdown.

Just finally was able to grab myself a copy. Got it for $40 but that's still 20 less than what they're charging for it.

Was worried I wouldn't be able to get it so close to release.

I'm watching the stream posted for a bit and it looked so nice. Love the menus. It seems there is a nice amount of armors with different appearance.

Just saw the censored abortion thing on the stream. Consequences are quite harsh if you fail lol.

Damn! But that's without the patch right? Maybe the day one patch will help. Did the patch notes mention anything about that?

Well now that the console versions are out on the street I am going into media blackout. I like going into games knowing almost nothing. So this will be my last post in this thread until I have beat the game.

People weren't obsessed over various Paper Mario RPG lengths and the main quests on those games aren't exactly long. Plus, this is a fully voiced with lots of content so I don't see the big deal. I prefer to have a game with high production values and little filler, Xenoblade was the worst with tons upon tons of filler side quests. I'd also imagine its made for multiple playthroughs to experience the different classes. I can't imagine the horror of going through a game like FF13 again (I couldn't even get through it all once, lol).

I also love how some people in general bitch about PC piracy being so bad and is a valid reason to release on consoles first when due to Steamworks it wont even be possible to do so until after Tuesday, while both consoles, nuff said....

Maybe I just need to bail from this thread, but I wish people wouldn't post details about the game without spoiler tags. For example, someone mentioned an
abortion
mini game. Prefer that kind of thing to be a surprise. But maybe that's just not how this sort of thread works. For me personally, want story and exploration details to be a surprise but like to hear about the game's performance, length, overall quality, etc.

Sitting at 11 hours now and the last 3 hours have been ridiculously hilarious. I don't care if this game ends in the next hour or 2, I'd be super happy with it. You don't get games like this.... I can't stop laughing. If your worried about the length of this game being your man factor of enjoyment from a South Park RPG... I don't know what else to tell you other then your doing it wrong. ;)

RPS said that but then they updated saying the germany, taiwan, and some other places are indeed censored, but that was according to just one site

safe bet is to wait I guess, nothing seems to be certain afaik

im getting it from India and im not entirely sure about it being censored either, but its ussually UK copies so I should be ok

Well, the German release doesn't have swastikas for obvious reasons, but other than that it's the same, while Australia is different matter as the game was censored pre-emptively (R* did this, unnecessarily, with GTAIV in 2008). Additionally, as far as copies bought through the Steam store directly are concerned, at least, New Zealand + Singapore + Hong Kong + Taiwan are lumped in with Australia, so they get the censored version, and Austria is lumped in with Germany, so it gets the swastika-free version.

~12-15 hours could actually be ideal, providing it holds up for replays. IIRC, It's supposed to have a season's worth of content, which sounds like a lot, but seasons are, like, 4-6 hours after subtracting commercials. That seems like it could be a decent balance between gameplay and scripted stuff.

If you like South Park and you don't buy this game because of the length just know that you're missing one of the most true to source licensed game of all times. If not the most true to source.

Reportedly there's a line in the game's config file that's related to censorship, but there's no confirmation at this juncture that changing its value actually does anything.

People should just see if the lenght is right for the game. from what i've seen, this game looks like the most pure south park game ever made. easily one of the best games of this year.

Completely forgot I had credit on GMG from buying a game at Christmas. A pleasant surprise making this a little cheaper. Still even with the code it's about what a PC game should cost...
