Just checked that out and it looks interesting, although I don't know if a visual novel adventure type would sell a good amount.
It's a really old anime in the 80s but yeah they did have a ton of great ideas and style on that time which is why the 80s were my favorite era even if I wasn't born yet. Would have rather it not be a run n gun platformer too and instead be a AAA or even a AA 3d game but I guess they don't have the budget for it as it's a extremely old ip being resurrected.
Same, sure there's censorship and there are things they could have done better but this is the only recent Cobra game that's out since the only other one is from the 90s on sega so it's the only one we got now.Nostalgic... maybe I'll buy it just for that.
Yeah, the 80's produced a lot of amazing anime. It's a very endearing artstyle. I'm a Macross enjoyer myself.

In the top images, Sandra isn't bare skin, she's actually in a full body covering jumpsuit. The gold form deal just makes it look like skin. You could say the cod piece is more suggestive but that also depends on the who's drawing it.
Jane's outfit in the cinematic and in-game are ones she's worn in the comics and show. And the bikini girl you posted is her sister Dominique.
Game itself could be cool. Need to see more in-depth gameplay vids or previews. Cobra is usually associated with a heavy jazz style soundtrack and wondering if the synthwave is only for the trailer.
I watched Cobra around a decade ago but I actually went on a huge 80s movies watching spree during 2020 too and got into a lot of movies from that era and has become my favorite movie era of all times. I've seen a lot of movies from 80s horror of all types, to sci-fi to adventure etc and still more to go even now! Lots of Italian-American 80s movie with their terminator and mad max copycat even Escape from New York rip offs like After the Fall of New York which I liked more than the original. The Bronx Warrior and Escape from the Bronx were funny ass The Warriors RIP offs.
