Trailer, probably really old.

I was watching Adult Swim and caught the commercial to Zathura. All I have to say is "what the fuck?" Who was in charge of this, and why couldn't they think of something original instead of retreading?

To cover all my bases:

FUCKING HOLLYWOOD
FUCKING AD WIZARDS
FUCKING ORIGINAL AUTHOR

That said, the background music in the ad was the dramatic music used on half of the YTMND's in existance.

The Book is from the same author of Jumanji

"FUCKING ORIGINAL AUTHOR"

I'm pretty sure he covered the possibility that the guy simply wrote the same story twice and set it in space the second go-round.

edit: This movie is directed by Jon Favreau? What the fucking fuck?

So why blame Hollywood for the author writing the same story? :lol Theres millions of other things to blame on Hollywood and this aint one of them.

Like why was Michael Jordan not in the sequel to Space Jam?! WTF?!?!?!?!?! FUCKING HOLLYWOOD!

Wait, there was a sequel to Space Jam?

And I believe I blamed every possible level, not connecting them. ;)

Somebody in Hollywood decided it would be a good idea to make this movie, it's not like it just developed itself.

Unofficial Sequel. :)

LOONEY TUNES:
BACK IN ACTION
Domestic: $20,991,364 30.6%
+ Overseas: $47,523,480 69.4%
= Worldwide: $68,514,844

SPACE JAM
Domestic: $90,418,342 39.2%
+ Overseas: $140,000,000 60.8%
= Worldwide: $230,418,342

Yeah that was smart!

Jordan > Fraser.

Elf did really well. He's popular now. He's doing John Carter of Mars for Paramount now after the Sky Captain guy flaked out.

Why has no one brought up the fact that DAX OF PUNKED is basically playing the same part as Robin Williams from the original? Talk about a downgrade.

The trailer sucked. However, seeing as I liked Jumanji quite a bit for some reason, I'm willing to give this movie a chance...

meh, may hire it on DVD when its out. Part of Jumanjis appeal with Robin Williams character being stuck in ...well somewhat of another world (wasn't really explained). Then years later coming back as an adult. The backstory like that added the film much more depth. This film looks flat and unoriginal. Some parts may be fun and/or witty, but I think i'll wait for a DVD release.
