The outlet has been gutted by Ziff Davis. Only one staffer works there full-time.Gbiz taking there time this year posting the Europe numbers.
Need a citation for Pro making up 25% of total PS4 sales, last time I checked it was closer to 15%. The PS4 slim was far better value than the PS4 pro as well. Also, the Intel Arc B580 is far better value than Nvidia 4090 and water is wet. That is how most markets work, you pay a lot more for slightly better performance that may or may not matter due to your personal circumstances (I bought a PS5 slim and a PS4 slim as I have a small TV and the viewing distance is large ergo pro consoles offer very little benefit to me, might not be the case for everyone.)
Yeah we've already seen them not do the weekly UK sales anymore. Nintendo life has picked up the slack there. The outlet has been gutted by Ziff Davis. Only one staffer works there full-time.
Chris Dring and others have left.
It's been like this since the OG PS1, but lets pretend to be shocked and mock every month about thisSpain is Sonyland like Spain is football and Playstation.
Between France and Italy, so not that bad as some might thinkShocked by how many Spanish family economies can take buying a Ps5 pro. Spanish salaries are among the lowest in the EU but they still have a major rent prices problem there. Knowing how non-existing savings are because of this I guess people are going into credit to get a freaking Playstation...
Salaries, you mean? I'd love to see those numbers actually. I'm pretty sure Italians get paid more, but maybe I'm wrong.Between France and Italy, so not that bad as some might think

Then there is Spain. The eurozoneās fourth-largest economy is currently among the few rays of sunshine, on track to beat every other major economy this year on growth. At 2.9%, according to the International Monetary Fund, it edges out even the US at 2.8%. The forecast for 2025 is also strong ā clocking in at 2.1% to Americaās 2.2%, and way ahead of Germanyās paltry 0.8%. Spainās predicted performance is about double the eurozoneās average.
Exactly this, this data is useless since no matter what people in Spain will buy a playstation over anything else, just look at how low are the sales for the switch too. It's been like this since the OG PS1, but lets pretend to be shocked and mock every month about this
But what stands out is that Switch is still selling ~6.5x as much as XBS.just look at how low are the sales for the switch too.
Xbox ending the year with some serious momentum.November 2023:
PS5: 109.000
XBS: 14.500
November 2024:
PS5: 121.700
XBS: 6.650

We need to hope that either:Yeah we've already seen them not do the weekly UK sales anymore. Nintendo life has picked up the slack there.
I hope some other outlet can get a hold off the data for the monthy reports, as I don't have much faith in gbiz being consistent with releases going forward.
How does that make the data useless? It still tells us how many consoles amd physical games were sold.Exactly this, this data is useless since no matter what people in Spain will buy a playstation over anything else, just look at how low are the sales for the switch too.
I probably should have qualified - it's this recreation of a 1982 PC that outsold XBox (and yes - this monster shipped with 48KB of ram). What's going on here? Do they still have games made in the cable boxes?

And indeed it's possible to still buy new games on actual cassette tapes today(although this box ships with preinstalled software of course). But yes these 8bit PCs somehow persist 40 years later.

What? lmao. It's useless because PlayStation sells more? Holy shit.Exactly this, this data is useless since no matter what people in Spain will buy a playstation over anything else, just look at how low are the sales for the switch too.
Just cause PlayStation sells more then the other two in Spain it make the data useless?Exactly this, this data is useless since no matter what people in Spain will buy a playstation over anything else, just look at how low are the sales for the switch too.

This is how Xbox gets its momentum. Just donāt count Europe (except maybe UK) and Asia.Just cause PlayStation sells more then the other two in Spain it make the data useless?
I think you need to factor in the huge sales discounts we've just seen in November for both the base digital and disc slim. Whilst the Pro kept its high price tag.Looks like PS5Pro word of mouth is bad and is doing some damage, same as Japan, sales are falling really fast compared to PS4Pro week over week, and this is Sony territory.
Unfortunately, the Xbox hardware is a lost cause in mainland Europe, and I'm saying this as someone from continental Europe who currently owns a Series X.Yeah, if ever anyone doubts again that PlayStation and Xbox aren't in the same Solar System, show them stuff like this.

Is Temtem good?Spain need more Monkey island and Temtem
Is a pokemon Spanish... Like a 8/10Is Temtem good?
This is the only reliable numbers we have of sales split a few weeks post launch as far as I know. Unless you know others reporting the ratio going in December?
Thanks! I will check some reviews, and maybe I'll pick it up this week since I've seen it on sale for around ā¬10 at a local retailer. Is a pokemon Spanish... Like a 8/10

Yes. And it's basically not much more than a Fifa box in most European countries.Exactly this, this data is useless since no matter what people in Spain will buy a playstation over anything else, just look at how low are the sales for the switch too.
The PS4pro had stock issues at the same period of time, and the normal PS4 had discounts too.. The PS5pro sales ared dropping really fast in comparison to PS4pro. In less than two weeks the PS4pro is going to be above in markets that we have numbersā¦ thas a fact.I think you need to factor in the huge sales discounts we've just seen in November for both the base digital and disc slim. I think we need to wait to see how things really land rather than jump to conclusions either way after only 6 weeks. Positive or negative. When people start throwing around the word "fact" to try and add weight to an opinion. For me it tends to do the opposite. The PS4pro had stock issues at the same period of time, and the normal PS4 had discounts too.. The PS5pro sales ared dropping really fast in comparison to PS4pro. In less than two weeks the PS4pro is going to be above in markets that we have numbersā¦ thas a fact.
Why? Is that a lot?Is that a 18-to-1 ratio I'm seeing between PS5 and Xbox Series consoles?
I think previous holidays it's been closer to 10:1 for Spain? Could be 25:1 next year.Is that a 18-to-1 ratio I'm seeing between PS5 and Xbox Series consoles?
In the land of reality, new ps5 pro patch for Alan Wake 2...According to Sony PR maybe. These numbers regardless paint a picture where less than one in every 20 sold PS5 is a Pro. Pretty dreadful ratio considering the system just launched and was hotly marketed. Don't be too suprised if most third party devs just don't bother with Pro patches. I would not blame them one bit for it.

Numbers are decent for the price, including the infamous disc drive, the price is more than double of what the PS4 Pro cost back in 2017.The PS4pro had stock issues at the same period of time, and the normal PS4 had discounts too.. Damn, before today, if any of y'all said the chip shortage for Xbox is still going, I wouldn't believe you. But these numbers don't lie. Xbox needs to get their shit together and get more chips.
Xbox is as popular as ever, but without enough chips to make their console, we as gamers suffer.

It is quite hilarious how this is completely missing in the other āanalystsā takeā .Numbers are decent for the price, including the infamous disc drive, the price is more than double of what the PS4 Pro cost back in 2017.
I donāt think any region has double the wages nowadays compared to 2017.
This isn't even competition...this is just some residual sales for Xbox at this point.PS5: 121.700
