So I presume the gameplay is prerecorded? Or did they say it would be live gameplay? Because if it's live gameplay, then maybe that is a trailer we're getting as well? :O

The event is live but it seems that the gameplay is pre-recorded. Remember, the behind closed doors demo was being played live but since this one is going to be shown to the public via live stream, they can't afford mistakes so it's only reasonable to think that it's pre-recorded. I doubt we will see another story trailer for now. However, the gameplay might hint at some story developments that weren't featured in any of the trailers, that's how far Kojima is willing to go in my opinion for the GC presentation. I expect a release date. MGO3 will probably be revealed at TGS. I also wonder what those couple of "surprises" are.

Konami also teased they will probably be at Eurogamer expo too. Seriously wow Tokyo Game Show AND Eurogamer expo this year?

If that is true then i'd expect the new Metal Gear Online reveal either at Eurogamer or TGS. Not Gamescom.

Gamescom = doge gameplay
 
I'm going to try to get something done with the avatars. I don't have access to the sheet but that's ok I just copy/pasted all those who replied + a few regulars, just so I can create a sample.

If it turns out ok, I'll share it later.

Those days are long-gone, man... but I would be surprised if an alternate cover wasn't included. Pretty sure it has been confirmed on more than one occasion. For example, watch a Kojima Station and you'll see it in "cover" form - as they have compared it time and time again to the Ground Zeroes cover art.

They'll probably remove Ocelot from the cover because "western audiences aren't familiar with him." :lol

Well i will buy the biggest collectors edition of this game anyway, so i will HOPEFULLY get my Shinkawa cover.

But seriously i don't like it as a cover. It's a cool poster and all but for the love of gawd please let it not be the official boxart. It needs to be more of an eye catcher you know? this doesn't do shit.

IN. THE. END. IT. HAS. TO. BE. THIS. WAY! Until a game is released, things are always subject to change. However, I believe this is final. No worries, man. Any Limited Edition will come with Shinkawa art, no question.

Hopefully they bring that to the UK this time. Then again could always get a limited edition version which will probably have Shinkawa Art.

If I bought one of those limited bronze statues and get it signed by Kojima, would it be worth even more? :lol

Problem is (and I think it was Sn4ke_911 who said this) they have said there would be "never seen before" statues at the musical dome. But I'm only going there AFTER Gamescom and now I don't know if I should buy the limited bronze one at GC or wait till I got the musical dome :P

So should I keep going or would you rather go in a different direction?

Looks great. Although we should use the GAF logo/a custom MGS community logo for this instead of a generic FOX symbol.
 
Literally 20 seconds ago I had the massive urge to see Decoy Octopus in this game. I really really want Decoy Octopus.

You should use the diamond dogs logo or something.

Definitely, this is just the Kojima Productions logo. An image unique to the community would be nice. We might go with something like Big Boss wearing a Gaf shoulder patch or something. Just thinking out loud.

If we can get an image we agree on, I can get a print ready for Dawg to download, print and take with him.
