There's a difference between swapping the main character for a whiny rookie bitch and swapping a main character for another main character.

Would people be mad for playing as Solid Snake? I don't see it.
 
Can't wait for dat Gamescom goodness. I've already accepted the fact that the game can't be "Current Gen" in technical terms simply because it has to accommodate the previous consoles. So there will be cutbacks and compromises. Still, Kojima gotta KojiGod.

Don't let Morma see this lol. Raiden is a good character. Considering the circumstances of Raiden being thrown into a mission with very little knowledge is totally justifiable for him questioning his orders. Funny thing about that is Raiden represents the player.

If he adds a little bit of 1984 direction to it... it'll be a very torn and crazy direction for BB. Still.. with that in mind, i don't see a character switch.

So it would be more like he wants to focus only on BB. Character switch would not be there, and he will most likely not focus on Clones. but on the demons of war, and him becoming a monster.

You know guys I was thinking that maybe the fauna plays into stealth element of the game. Let's say for example the jungle maybe has a river and you can bait guards to chase you and get eaten by an alligator or there's a region with goats maybe you can shoot the floor and make the goats run in a certain direction while distracting the guards.

It would be cool if you can capture a snake having the option to eat it or release it to the guards lol

You see, Raiden isn't a good character, he becomes a good character. Eventually he becomes likeable even in his rookie form, but the "I'M REALLY GOOD AT WAR VIDEOGAMES 1V1 ME MATE" shtick gets old quick. Fortunately it doesn't last long and he becomes far more interesting when he starts actually trying to understand the fuck is going on, but the moment you start controlling him? Fuck that in particular.

Him going full retard psycopath in Rising is just the icing in the cake.

how about attaching c4 to animals and using it to take out guards. i mean, we are supposed to be playing as a man who is turning evil.

and just to clarify my stance as a team b member. i absolutely do not think a playable character switch to solid snake will occur in this game

I remember in 2003 there was a guy on GameFAQs claiming to be close to the development team on MGS3 and "leaked" a lot of info that many believed including that we'd be able to strap C4 to monkeys and have them attack guards.

haha, wow. i wouldn't be surprised if they attempted this back then but ran into technical and AI issues. especially considering the animal attacking mechanism that made it in with the snakes. i'm sure they wanted crocs and guards to interact too but couldn't make it work back then
