I'm using nyc..speakeasy.net to test my speed

2005-01-14 17:23:49 EST: 2350 / 324

Maybe it's effected by torrents and my router?

Why is my upload so slow compared to download?

EDIT: Whoops, had something downloading in the background the first time, tested it again. Oddly, my upload speed is a little slower now than when I was downloading.

Mine's 185.6 KB down and 67K up according to dslreports, but their servers are busy, so I'm not sure if that affects it. Man, some of the download speeds you guys have are insane! :O

Hopefully my speed will double soon when Verizon starts offering their new package in my area. : /

That's because ISP generally will cap your upload so you don't run a ftp server or website with your home computer.

Are you downloading while you are running the test? If you are not, then you might have a 1.5mb (or is that 1.5MB) line. Try another speed test location.
