MCU is a perfect fit for Spider-Man. Of course it was gonna review well 👏
With good reason. They shouldn't have for almost 10 years imo aside from Logan
Not to say that 7ish average on RT is bad tho, far from it. People obsess over these scores a bit too often now tbh
The villain stuff is what is intriguing me. Mahvel might have finally figured out that they need better villains going forward.
It's like wanting to put salt in your eye. Those Gifs make me happy.
I really should watch ASM2 some day. I've rather liked Raimi's and the first ASM.
Well. Maybe. Someday.
You are confusing Spidey with the green guy, the salt here is Amazing not Incredible. The salt in this thread is incredible.
Well, not really that incredible.
Let them watch. Lest we forget the lesson learned.
Didnt Obsidian lose out on bonus payment from Bethesda because Fallout New Vegas got less than an 85 on metacritic? I think that's the most insane story I've heard. That part in Kotaku's Mass Effect: Andromeda article about Bioware/EA's obsession with Metacritic scores -- and how that's apparently standard practice in the industry -- is just fucking insane to me.
Indeed.yep.
Why? It's so bad it's gooddon't watch ASM2
don't ever watch ASM2
Its time. There's enough room.
I liked the web hand scene. Why? It's so bad it's good
RT score at 97%... looking good.
I like the comments that this does street level hero in the MCU in some ways better than the shows that are about street level heroes in the MCU. Not being hamstrung by the whole weird TV vs Film butting heads thing lets them present a street level view of what you'd think the MCU world would actually look like.

Garfield was the worst Spider-Man yet.
Garfield was the worst Spider-Man yet.
Tobey exists.
Nicholas Hammond was better than Tobey.
His Spidey was better than Tobeys
Rotten Tomatoes said:Critic Consensus: Spider-Man: Homecoming does whatever a second reboot can, delivering a colorful, fun adventure that fits snugly in the sprawling MCU without getting bogged down in franchise-building.
Not only is Spider-Man: Homecoming the best movie in the character's big-screen history so far, it makes a strong case for consideration as one of the most entertaining and satisfying superhero movies in recent years. For Spider-Man and his fans, the return of everyone's favorite web-slinger to the Marvel universe is a homecoming to be proud of.
Powered by music from the Ramones and a newfound urge to win over audiences who lost some faith in the character once he was pulled out of Sam Raimi's hands, ”Homecoming" rivals the helmer's ”Spider-Man 2" as an authoritative, triumphantly cinematic take on web-slinger action and emotion. Watts does an outstanding job keeping the feature on the move, attentive to character nuance and smash-em-up action, reviving interest in Spider-Man's position as an aspiring Avenger and his daily life as a student, LEGO master builder, and young man in love. ”Spider-Man: Homecoming" is a delight, emerging as pure spirit in a genre that's already greeted more than its share of appealing heroes. It's the best homecoming imaginable.
Its time. There's enough room.
He wanted something to whine about before the thread was even made.🤔🤔 How is that the takeaway from these reviews?
Tobeys Spider-Man doesn't even feel like Spider-Man. It's mostly the writers fault, but when he was Spider-Man he rarely had the signature charm or wit. His Peter was pretty good though.Nope.
I sold my soul for £5 and a cheeseburger.I see BGE has been bought off by Marvel, look at him scouring the net for these obscure sites for positive reviews
How much was your soul worth?!

"It doesn't have dramatic worth, or a great story, or is remarkable in any sense.. but it's FUN, like, it has HUMOR which is so UNIQUE, 9/10 the future of super hero movies".
Give me a break. Spider-Man is one of those characters that have like lots of material to take inspiration from to make a legit great story, be it on high school or adult setting, you name it. But Disney genericness knows no bounds.
I'd rather have another Sony movie.
And sadly it didn't prove me wrong.
YOU KILLED THE NICE GUYS, YOU GODDAMN PSYCHOPATHEverybody should just calm down right now and wait for my review in 3 months

A man's gotta eatB-G-E was bought off by Marvel years ago. They have him on retainer now. $50 per inflated box office prediction, $200 per thread.

As someone who grew up on Ultimate Spider-Man comics, a lot of those review comments are hitting that nostalgia hard.
Kind of wish they kept Fury as his mentor, but that wouldn't make as much sense considering the current state of the MCU. And Stark makes perfect sense as the mentor in the movies
