Waiting for mario fludd dlc
Cause that choice gives clear advantage to one over the other. Especially in a competitive online multiplayer game that's not a good thing . Allowing gyro to be turned off is already cutting it close as gyro aiming has the clear advantage. Also The game pad has all the same functionality as the pro controller and the some. So I don't see the problem. Why are so many people here against choice :/
It's really weird. It doesn't have to be one or the other.
I'm not sure you understand him. He wants a choice, ala Smash giving the player multiple choices as far as controllers go. That is the problem. He recognizes that Splatoon only works with the Gamepad but would like to use the Pro controller.Cause that choice gives clear advantage to one over the other. That's why i find it funny when some people in this thread complained about tumbsticks only feeling "off". As far as i noticed there's no auto aim to help with the imprecision of using thumbsticks to aim. And lest's hope it stays that way.I think people need to give Gyro controls more than an hour, seriously. The aim on stick only is terrible because it doesn't have auto aim, which is a crutch you're probably all too familiar with. Gyro control totally removes the need for it.

That's in truf war.I'll gladly take the "disadvantage" then. I'm already consistently in the top 1 or 2 spots on the gamepad. I guarantee I'd almost always be in the top spot with a pro controller.
We need a Delfino Plaza map down the road that has mario come in with fludd every now and then to clean away the ink and piss everyone off. Team scores at the end of a match will be 4.1% to 3.6%.Waiting for mario fludd dlc
My Wii U isn't able to connect to the server somehow. Can't play, anyone else?

1 hour till the final session. Prepare your rollers.

The slower aiming of those using control sticks could out you in an advantageous or disadvantageous position.
Unless we can choose to not be grouped with those that do don't.
That's in truf war.
The only way for you to find out is when the full game is available and then some extra time after that when all the modes are unlocked.
You're an hour early.
Although I could live without being called a nigger by a seven year old white kid that I will never meet face to face, I would love to have voice chat available with friends only at least.
Oh okay, so I won't have to adjust the angle of the gamepad to look up/down like on the last page was showing?
My biggest complaint is that playing with the Gyro off is horrible. I don't know what it is (acceleration?), but I couldn't hit anybody when I needed to. No reason why it should be that way. I got used to the gyro so it's not a problem anymore, but I think the option for proper dual analog play should be there.
This times one thousand.I think people need to give Gyro controls more than an hour, seriously. The aim on stick only is terrible because it doesn't have auto aim, which is a crutch you're probably all too familiar with. Gyro control totally removes the need for it.

This game has no auto-aiming/snapping unlike most other console shooters. Couple that with wide spread on some of the guns and I can see a lot of people complaining about the "inaccurate" aiming. I don't think they should include auto-aim.
AgreedBecause it goes against hundreds or thousands of hours of muscle memory associated with traditional controls. Besides, the range of motion is Splatoon is a lot more limited than an FPS. I don't see the motion controls offering any sort of significant advantage or disadvantage.

No other company in the world does a stress test that lasts just one hour
I don't mean in that way, like the reticle just felt sluggish. I had the sensitivity up really high and still felt that aiming was dreadfully slow. I don't think it needs auto aim either, but the actual process of aiming itself with the analog sticks is bad.
I would too, give me a controller that doesn't hurt my hands after 20 minutes. I would aim just as well and could make on screen selections faster than looking down at the gamepad.I'll gladly take the "disadvantage" then. I'm already consistently in the top 1 or 2 spots on the gamepad. I guarantee I'd almost always be in the top spot with a pro controller.
Now that I've played the demo I'm so excited for the 29th.
Can't wait to play the full game, and to wear my Splatoon T-shirt!![]()
Lol, if I was on a team like that and one of the other teams was blue, I'd avoid washing away the blue ink as it's my favourite colour. You know what would be interesting is if there was another mode where there was a third team (maybe could have less than 4 people for balance) that had the goal of washing away all of the ink a la Sunshine. They probably couldn't turn into squids because they'd be eliminating ink, but maybe they would have a faster run speed/ some other adjustment to make up for that limitation. It would be intriguing to see how a mode like that would play out, at least as a novelty for a weekend or something, haha.
This post + your avatar = perfectgrrr
I can't believe I'm teetering on buying a game or not based off whether I wanot to deal with the controller.
I'm sure I'm worse than a lot of people with or without gyro.Look above. People should be lucky to be grouped with me. I'm sure part of this is a lot of Wii U owners aren't used to playing shooters.
I'm with you on this.I still vote for Squids Next Door as the OT title.

Yeah. It was horrifying for me when I was younger, but unfortunately you grow used to it...basically this, it gets tiring having to mute a racist asshole every other match.Option for friends should have been available thoughbasically every match if they know i'm black -_-
Exactly. More options are never bad things. I fully understand that things would need to be reworked if the Pro Controller were to be an actual alternative to playing this game, but anything would sure beat having to use the Gamepad. It's unsettling that people are against this.I would too, give me a controller that doesn't hurt my hands after 20 minutes. In Smash Bros you can play online, in teams no less, with any controller you want. It's the players choice if they want to use a Gamecube or be "disadvantaged" with the horizontal Wii Remote.

Wow! People are different after all!Mind blowing fact:
Some people play better with gyro, some don't.
Some people play better with traditional aiming, some don't.
The more you know!
I approve of this. I will add:
Splatoon |OT| Yes you can turn off gyro. WRYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY

There's always that one plug that isn't being used.I tried to hook up my pvr after having it unplugged for some time and realized all 12 of my sockets are used up... What to unplug...
