Splatoon |OT| Squidstyler

Lagged a bit that game but it was fine at the end. I'll be back in a minute.

That first game I couldn't aim at all at the beginning but man I started aiming well at the end

Aerospray is pretty much useless in high rank unless you got a good team. It's not very good against the roller which is what most people use.

My current look

decided i don't need squid jump

i generally only jump into safe areas, anyway, so i dunno

gear management gives me headaches, what to do, what to do >-> <-<

I'm with you, I feel like any time I try to be aggressive with Super Jumps it just bites me in the ass.

I think the reason I'm getting more into this game than other shooters is because it isn't so reliant on twitch aiming. It's so easy to just sneak around, ink vacant parts of the map, and get people up close. And the evasive options are so powerful I don't feel too vulnerable moving around. Harder to be sneaky in Splatzones but still doable.

That's almost my look. =/

This is part of the reason why I wish you could reroll main perks. Things like Ninja Squid are really good so people are going to wear the same 4 shirts because of it. I'm wearing the red hoodie too, cause it looks the best of the Ninja Squids.

Single-player was fun, and the final boss was awesome, but it just left me wanting more. It's a great concept but I feel it needed to be like twice as long and I really wish more was put into its presentation. I understand that the multiplayer was the clear focus but there's a lot of interesting concepts in single-player that multiplayer can't really get into.

If they make a sequel playable Octolings should be high on the to do list.

Also, as awesome as the final boss is, it almost feels like a final boss to a game that was like twice as long. The levels leading up to it aren't anywhere near as nuts. The escalation of danger is like a cliff.

But it really is a great boss fight.

EDIT: Also, there really needs to be a way to switch weapons while in a lobby. I hate how locked in you feel when you join a lobby.

I kinda hope they'll do a single player DLC with an extra world which just has a set of challenge levels, something akin to the star world in SM3DW with the boss level being replaced by a Champion's Road-esque level.

I'd pay for it.

Just found Scroll 10 in single player. Um, wow.

Between this and Pikmin 3, Nintendo definitely makes the cutest Post-apocalyptic worlds.

What do you classify as high rank? I've gotten to B- on nothing but Aerospray.

i just realised i wrote "squid jump" in the first line when i obv meant "ninja jump"

as a proponent of more conservative use of squid jump, i'm not sure that ability is worth the slot

So I posted this in the Amiibo thread and really didn't get any responses. I wonder if anybody who has the Squid can comment on the perceive slantness of the one in the Left/Top package, thanks.

Anyway I ordered a Splatoon 3-pack from Walmart. When I went to Best Buy to get the game they had some 3-packs and with my GCU I got 20% off I got the one that looked the best.

I want to open the one with the best quality figures. The only paint imperfections I really notice is that one girl has the shoelace loops not fully painted and a very tiny piece of pink below the loops. While the other girl seems to have a more rough looking suction cup under her left hair. It also looks like the Squid in the package above/left is shifted more to the right than usual.

If any Amiibo experts can weigh in I'll appreciate it.

I'm holding off on moving forward in the campaign until I can do the Amiibo challenges and upgrade my weapons.

Just had my most one-sided victory yet: 89.3% to 2.3%. My whole team spent most of the match just keeping the other team from leaving the spawn point.

I like to think we pulled that out due to my
Well timed "c'mon!"

This reminds me, does pinging multiple times actually ping just as much for your allies as what you see? If I press C'mon three times, do my partners see it three times, or one?

Yeah, I've noticed that the games I do best are those in which I swim instead of jumping the second after respawning...once you equip Ninja Jump your brain goes into "LOL, free jumps" mode and you stop thinking before engaging the enemy. So I have removed it too and suddenly am doing much better again.
