Splatoon |OT2| Prepare to Dye

The silver Aerospray with Seeker Bomb and Inkooza.

I rarely use the seeker bomb though, as it uses a lot of ink and with the Aerospray every ink counts.

I like the seeker a lot, but I prefer it in Splat Zones in order to make a quick path to the zone.

However, it's good in combat IMO.

The gold Aerospray with the mine is OP in Turf War, and throwing down a mine in combat is hilarious.

I actually don't mind the Mall. But I can not win on Port Mackerel. I hate the stage so much. Even using a Charger. The wonky detection on the moving pieces and how much goes uncovered by Rollers is appalling.

I like the mall, though I will admit it can get kinda one-sided depending on who makes it to the middle first. The chokes are small as hell.

What's everyone go-to weapons/loadouts?
I use the aerospray rg and the splat charger with the spray and killer wail on Turf war, custom blaster for ranked to counter the .52, .96, and kraken roller (and I started to use in turf war to troll people). I can use the jet squelcher but it's not fun, and I'm still trying to learn inkbrush.

I wouldn't try to learn a weapon because other people have success with it. Find a weapon that fits your play style and have fun with the game.

I'm really not seeing how kracken isn't totally broken. This thing dominates ranked.

Popping a bubble when the kracken is coming toward you is quite funny. This one kracken was swimming right toward me, but then I popped my bubble shield, he did a complete 180 and disappeared into a half-pipe never to be seen again. He literally NOPE'd out.

So I haven't played in a week until i got a chance to re-rent and I'm fucking terrible at the game again. Begginer's tips?

Hit B Rank and holy shit.

They are really turning up the heat in these splat zone fights. I've had to move like a blur to get away and kill.

Hopefully I'll have enough money for the new gear I've ordered. God damn it.

I LOVE IT! >:]

Do you need to be on top of the boxes to throw the sprinkler up there? That area is so heavily contested I have a feeling I'd be dead if I had to stand on ceremony like that to place it.
Yea you do. The safest time to do so in Splat Zones is when you have control of the zone and it isn't being contested by the enemy. I just did that and boy did it just fill my special meter so easily.

Question. So I just got to World 5 of the singleplayer.

I got up to the jump pad without doing any levels. Will using it lead me to the final boss early? Or will it just lead to the kettle in the saucer that I can't open yet?

Thanks.

You won't be able to open the kettle until you have enough Zapfish :(

You can get there but you can't enter until you've finished everything.

Yeah that's it for me. I have nothing more to gain from Splatoon in its current form. First they need to add regional to prevent latency issues and second some kind of formula that balances teams (I don't really feel like facing 2 lagging dynamos and a kraken roller in one game, esp when my team is sitting on 4 assault rifles, what's the point? it's a meaningless match that only wastes my time)

I only need to complete the Amiibo challenges then I have fully exhausted the game's content. Yeah they can add one more map if they want but it doesn't change the fundamental flaws of online play.

It's easy to dodge the Kracken, I have escaped many times buy just moving back. The only time I died was when I didn't have any ink to hide or got stuck.

I like the seeker a lot, but I prefer it in Splat Zones in order to make a quick path to the zone.

I tried doing that but I found the trail to narrow for my liking, I prefer to have a bigger room to strafe.

No you need to do the levels first.

with 3 Damage up main and 2 Damage up subs I do 50 damage with an uncharged shot (sniper), interesting. Normally it takes 3 uncharged shots to kill someone
Not worth it, you need main abilities for other things. Instead you can just do one main and one or two sub and get a two hit kill with one charged like 15% (which is very quick) and one uncharged.

I'm talking about when the match just starts and the team makes a beeline to the splat zone. The only thing I've seen that trumps the Seeker's speed in making a path has been someone using an Inkbrush who ran the entire way to the Zone the moment we were all told to go.

I really liked the ranked modification to the map where the ledges are connected. Still dangerous as fuck, but atleast there's more than one way through the middle.
Plus since there are a few complaints about the Kracken now, seeing them fall right through those grates is something everyone has to experience.

After listening to the Podcast someone linked earlier today, I went to the Ars Technica Review that the Podcast spoke about and saw these weird quotes:

For one, weapons don't feel all that distinct from each other, at least in any satisfying ways. The sniper class makes this particularly apparent, because while players are asked to hold the shot button down to "charge" full-range sniper shots, those charged shots don't extend very far—not even twice as far as the machine gun class. In practice, that range reduction is too weak to be worth the speed trade-off.

Do you feel your shots don't travel far enough, Snipers? Cuz i'm pretty sure they travel far from when I die by them. O_o

What the two-player mode does reveal is how badly Nintendo slapped motion controls onto this shooter. You'll want to switch to joystick-only controls as quickly as possible for one reason: the motion controls will frequently turn your joystick off in the heat of battle, effectively making it impossible to quickly turn around when, for example, a paint-rolling opponent is about to run you down. As such, the person in two-player mode who gets the Gamepad is actually at a disadvantage (unless, of course, you've turned motion controls off).

He clearly did not understand the game if he was playing without Motion Controls.

I want Nintendo to shamelessly rip off of Call of Duty. I want them to have a mode that gets rid of our special weapons and have to unlock them in a kill streak.

I want to hear a squid shout that a UAV is online after I get 3 kills.

I want a bazooka at 5 kills. I want to launch inkstrikes at 7.

Why can't squids swim in water

Morpheus is lagging really hard. Not much I could do when I was dead before I saw him. I made up for it in the next game though ;)

Morpheus :(

I know, I'm just being a dick ;)

at the moment I'm doing quite well with stacking Damage Up on chargers, I just need to find the right balance
