Step away from the pipe.

I don't know about the PS2 or Cube ports, but on the Box it's utter sweetness.

Have you even played the game? Splinter Cell(s) is/are off the chain. You're just mad because Sam could kick Snake's ass arentcha'? :lol

Hahah! Shit. Snake wouldn't even see Sam coming. It would be all over and then Snakes spirit would be like

Huh?

SC is a decent enough franchise, but hold on to your seat...

IGN's 99 Greatest Games of All Time (readers' votes) has SC:CT at #3!

:lol :lol :lol

One second, OK:

:lol :lol :lol

No, I haven't played the game (not extensively anyway). But that's still funny.

Just to let all of you guys know.....this price cut for SC:CT is TEMPORARY, and not PERMANENT. And only EB is doing this....and is not reflective of an all-around price cut at all retailers.

I just finished SC:CT a couple of days ago, and I must say it's the best SC game to date....easily eclipsing the original and Pandora Tomorrow. I don't know why all the hate for the game surfaces just because of a price cut...it's obviously one of UbiSoft Montreal's best effort to date.....regardless of it's inherent bugs and glitches.

SC: CT is deserving of all the accolades, scores, and recognition it's been getting by the media.

What's so funny? It's the greatest stealth game eve... (not including the Theif games which I haven't touched)

I'll tell you what's so funny. The game has been out for ONE FREAKING MONTH.

Side note: God of War was also at #6. C- Warrior am cry.

I want it to tank badly because it's not fun to play, and as such I wouldn't want other developers and publishers to feel encouraged to go and make anything like it.

I liked the first Splinter Cell fine, but with each successive release they games have gotten more rushed, less intelligent, and downright anti-realistic. We talked about it in another thread, but trust me when I tell you that I have every right to hope a game I strongly dislike sells poorly as opposed to being a blockbuster success. The reason? So games I do like (MGS and any up-and-coming stealth/action franchises) branch out on their own instead of incorporating the style of gameplay of the unfortunately successful title.

Wanting a game to tank is perfectly sensible if it's because you hope it prevents other games you'd otherwise be interested in playing from starting to look and play like it.

In your opinion

You have every right to say whatever the hell you want, and I have ever right to think it's downright stupid.

Frankly, I don't give a damn. Usually devs take the good things from other games and incorporate them into their own games. MGS could use plenty of improvements. One is - not having a stupid ass story.

I think that's a pretty silly fear.

Awesome game for that price. My favorite of the year so far. It missed the Christmas Holiday. That's a major factor in the sales so far, but it's not selling "poorly" by any stretch of the imagination. Thank goodness for this series. It's been the only thing to push the stealth genre forward.

I can testify (as an avid Splinter Cell disliker) that Chaos Theory is the shit. I tried it out on my Gamefly account and it turned me around on the series. Great buy at $20, even if you didn't like the others, like me, this one so far exceeds it, it is worth a try. I am only speaking in terms of single player here, as PT turned me off of multiplayer so bad I won't even try this shit online. :D

P.S. The play mechanics in MGS 3 are shit compared to SC. I mean, total shit. Konami should just bow down and give suckage cause SC owned them so bad. Funny how Konami can't adapt and are so stubborn to stay in the past (MGS play mechanic's was based around the playstation 1 hardware, which is no longer a limitation, yet they keep that SHIT ASS perspective to play from, ugh. Japanes devs I swear they're senile). Anyhow the story is awesome in MGS3 tho. Rapes SC in that regard. Only thing that kept me playing it, as I despised the play mechanics. I kept dreaming of SC's play with MGS3's story and presentation etc.
