Splitgate 2: Arena Reloaded Trailer

I mean it looks better and probably closer to the first game but it's a little late. Should've released it like this the first time instead of whatever that was.

Hmm odd that they removed the classes and factions as well... Are people really that opposed to that sort of thing? I think class/character abilities were the least of its problems.

Its biggest issue was the strafing/gunplay where people could just 'teleport' during a gunfight as the netcode was so shit and the movement was far too erratic. Made actual combat a coin toss. I also wouldn't mind less portal walls. Far too many angles that you could get shot from.

Glad to see they're bring this back to an arena shooter. The first game was great, but it looked too dated, and the cosmetics required for monetization of a F2P title weren't good enough for people to want. Then they changed way too much of what people liked about the first game.

A lot of mistakes were made, but I can't think of too many F2P arena shooters, so I hope it's good and I hope it finds an audience.

A proper arena shooter without the modern gameplay design bullshit? I will give it a try for sure.

It looks quite good and I played the first one for a couple of weeks, but in the end the portals mess with my head too much.

Seems like it's dead on PC, 700 players.
They screwed up with that original release, in a competitive market like this you rarely get second chances.

The change in tone from the original splitgate 2 to this update is pretty funny though

Maybe if you are going to run on the concept of "make FPS great again" they should have started by doubling down on what made people like the first one instead of going for a trend chasing pink purple hero-ish shooter.

Giving into the woke and apologizing for wearing a hat was the downfall. They are not the majority, barely a minority. Should have never folded
