Fuuuuuuuuuckkkk. Spring allergy season has struck me in full force today. Weather seems to finally have turned for good here in chicago and I am paying the price. Shit is so brutal it's like KILL ME NOW. Anybody else going through this? Let's help each other through this trying time.

I tried to beat them by taking allergy medicine early this year since they seemed particularly bad last year. I think it's working, sucks to spend more money on it though.

Wake up, sneeze for 4 hours straight, lose so much energy from the sneezing, become tired again and sleep.

Woke up yesterday and my eyes were beat red. I took medicine today and yesterday and seems to be working.

My pain began two days ago.

Damn you trees, grass, and weeds.

Zyrtec and Fluticasone errday

During the winter I do my best to get off the nose spray and pill...but now I'm back up to a full two sprays and the pill...ugh

Started last Thursday and it's been a bitch. Haven't had it this bad in years. I'm allergic to pollen and that stuff was everywhere. Had the car completely covered.

Have that nice raspy cough going, stuffed nose, drinking water means feeling all the phlegm in my throat and my ears are nice and plugged.

Claritin isn't doing a thing, nasal spray ain't shit, probably going to be suffering for the rest of month and then some.

Happy Spring, ya'll!

Allegra is the only thing that works for me down south but it makes me feel like a zombie so I only take it when it's particularly aggressive. Sometimes my throat feels so itchy when it hits bad though, it's a real bitch.

A steady regimen of Allegra-D, showering before going to bed, and washing or changing my pillow cases every other night.

The last one was an amazing revelation to me and made the shower rule a hard and fast one. Don't rub your face in a pillow case covered in pollen all night.

Allegra every day but I have to stay indoors as much as possible regardless. Pollen levels here in Raleigh are at max (12 out of 12), so even with meds I'm in agony if I'm outside for any period of time.

Chicago here as well. Although the weather has been beautiful, I have been dying the past week. Itchy eyes, stuffy nose. Claritin aint doing shit.

I take Aerius,
it may not be as effective as Zyrtec or Reactin, but atleast Aerius doesn't give me nasty side effects.

but yeah, fuck allergies

a spray may help too , like Avamys, Omnaris, Flonase or Nasonex .

Just been feeling exhausted and every morning I end up questioning whether or not I'm getting sick or if it's just my allergies.

So far we've been having off/on rain here in the Bay Area and I'm either fine (during the rain) or miserable (when it's sunny).

Did buy some allergy eye drops today because my eyes are constantly itchy.

What about claritin?

Edit: Nevermind. After doing some research, it seems Aerius is far more effective than claritin.

You must be living up north because allergies hit the south weeks ago my friend. I'm from the future, and the allergies suck.

Aerius is nice, usually does the trick on me but I don't like to take him everyday like it has happen in the last week

I don't know if it's allergy-based, but I got hit pretty hard with the flue yesterday. I wasn't able to make it to any of my classes because I get dizzy every time I stand up. I also wasn't able to eat anything as well.In addition, I took several 90-minute naps. I'm just so fucking fatigued right now. Also, I have work tomorrow... great.

Flonase/Nasacort going OTC has been a godsend for me. Pills never really helped all that much but the nasal sprays work really well.

Flonase has been clutch the last few years I've been using it. I still get a couple sneezes here and there and a tad bit of itching but it's totally manageable now.

Allergies started for me about two weeks ago. It was so damn bad for about almost a week straight. I seem to have stabilized a bit, but still get the occasional sneezing fits.

My first spring back in Texas after being in Wisconsin and the allergies hit me bad. Had a stinging pressure in my right eye (especially my tear ducts) that was causing my vision to blur. I started taking Xyzal after I went to visit an eye doctor to make sure nothing was actually wrong with my eyes and am happy to say that after about 4 days of milder symptoms I'm finally feeling normal again.

Glad I gave the new over the counter version a try but it definitely makes you drowsy as all get out.

I have the worst allergies of anybody I know. No medicine can tame the shit. All of the non drowsy medicine does the exact opposite to me. I probably need some prescription strength meds or a shot. It's gotten to the point where I've had to leave work and go home because I couldn't function, and was making everyone around me hate life.

I remember I had a fun first date with this girl in April last year. We played miniature golf for an hour. When I got back home, I instantly knew I messed up. I was out of commission for 2 weeks. The girl thought I was just making excuses and wasn't into her, and moved on.
