I'm really tired right now and it's entirely possible that I'm playing this up way too much, but hosanna likes it so I'd like to think that it's not just me being :madp. Anyone who was dissatisfied with Dokidoki but still wants a weekly injection of harmless fun should give this a shot.

I want to clarify that I haven't seen Happiness yet; my Jewelpet affection is based entirely off of Kira Deco so far. That said, your points generally apply to the earlier series as well, particularly the one about great reaction faces and fun humor for general audiences. (With a parody of vapid Japanese variety TV in the first episode, it's immediately clear they weren't just writing for kids.) I understand that Happiness is toned down in comparison to Kira Deco/Sunshine, but it sounds like it's retained enough of their good points.

Woah, didn't know someone else here was watching this. Did you ever watch gdgd fairies? It's pretty much the only other show to have an improv sections for the VAs and it's got a similar setup beyond being another MMD show, I think you might like it.

the character designs in gdgd fairies looks awful, but its on crunchyroll, decision. Maybe if they were mecha like in Straight Title Robot Anime Id watch.

I'm not watching on nico. It is actually part of the universe in at least two shows. Valvrave has twitter in it and Majestic Prince has niconico. I'm watching both on crunchyroll peasant (and real transcription hasn't been added yet).

With all of the people recently going through School Days for the first time here, I thought since I'd waited this long I might as well finally start it too. So HERE I GO:

School Days 1 - Confession
From the get-go, this episode had quite a few instances of awkward transitions. They were mostly fade outs but they didn't flow well. And that glass breaking opening title effect, oh man.

I did like the scenes in both episodes where Makoto and Sekai were passing notes to each other. It's nice to know that Makoto can at least be somewhat assertive when he wants to as well. Although, I kept thinking that he shouldn't even touch the tea that Kotonoha made after eating all of her awful sandwiches. She could have messed something up with that pouring tea! You never know!

Then comes the scene when Sekai sneaks in a kiss and that's when you know shit's gonna get real. If I didn't already kinda know what happens at the end of this wild journey, I would have said that romance tropes would take over and Sekai, the overly helpful friend, would be the true winner of da School Days.

School Days 2 - Distance Between the Two

I like that a lot of this episode is from the perspective of a "couple" going through their first dates no matter how bumbling they actually are together. I can't say it's a very common thing to show a relationship like this in anime which is why it feels pretty refreshing. I'm a sucker for stuff like this so the more the merrier!

This show really presents Kotonoha as such a naive, innocent girl in these first two episodes that I'm eager to see where it goes from here. On the opposite spectrum, Sekai is becoming quite the frisky girl!

Uta no Prince Sama Maji Love 2000% 4 (utapri)

Really good episode, having both a Masato and Tokiya moment expressing their love was way too good and pleasing and then the usual Natsuki Syo moments with a touch of Syo Cecil as well. This show just does everything so well and good to me. I liked syo in both his other scenes though, I guess in design terms, he and Ittoki still remain my favorites (if Syo could get a figure next please).

Probably the best option, but I have done sillier things in the past.
Might just hold off until the blurays are cheap. Doesnt really seem worth spending a lot based on the first two. Ive seen Eva in several forms so I dont feel like Im missing anything.
Dont like the new direction for sure but I got caught in the hype at first.

Maybe this was his master plan? The fact that people latched on to his work for so long when he tried to tell them to sod off surely bothered him all these fifteen years.

It's a shame because I think Anno hasn't completely lost it as a director (aside from the obvious CGI abuse), but I fear his course of action with Rebuild was misguided. 3.33 feels to me like an exercise on trolling the hell out of the audience just for the sake of trolling the audience, but... not like End of Evangelion. It's difficult to explain.

I don't know what to think of this movie.

I don't buy the elaborate trolling theory for Rebuild because Rebuild never had to happen. Everyone was clamoring for EoE so Anno had to make it or he'd never hear the end of it. But no one asked for Rebuild so I don't see how it can be seen as anything but a good faith effort to make something new. It's not like he's trapped making Eva the way Kojima is with MGS, his directing of a few live action works shows that he's free to not work on Eva. Anno chose to make Rebuild so any critique should treat it as a genuine work of his instead of hiding him under the guise of trolling.

Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood 3

I figured. I'll still watch it anyway out of curiosity. I assume this was some people's entry into the series so I'd like to see what they gained/missed.

True, it's worth watching those early episodes to satisfy that curiosity but I think the decision to rush through and phone in those early plot points was aimed at old fans anyway. It meant reaching the stuff that was never animated at record speeds and that content is clearly where all the time and money went. I guarantee the show more than redeems itself on this decision later on.
