I honestly thought this was a DTL post at first.
Detective Conan 167:
When they have great material to work with, they can really make this show excel. This was such a well executed episode. I just love the soundtrack for this show. It really helps at bringing the story to life. It's always fun seeing Conan and Heiji working together and trying to come to terms with the case.lead to some great moments, and on a more comedic side, the show did a perfect job with the scene where Heiji asks her to take her clothes off.Heiji panicking about Kazuha
Da fuc, how could they give Mor panties

Darker than Black 17-18
I'm still not entirely sure where this show is going in terms of plot.
That's okay, the writers don't either.
As expected of Bones?
Going over the list of the new Spring Animes in the OP, is there anything that stands out to people?
I am already on-board with Oreimo 2
And what about that Otono Joshi No Anime series? Recommended?

I really like the art for Suisei No Gargantia on their homepage.
Anyone else going to give this one a chance?

I guess I'm on team hype for SnK but I don't think I can handle it being a Magi 2.0, not this series![]()
Reminds me of Full Metal Alchemist: Brotherhood which I loved.

I'm watching it for the delicious character designs, and didn't even know it had mechs until someone mentioned it here. I'll stick by my choice.

They'd have to work really hard to make it Magi 2.0, there's a wide range of disappointment between "good" and "so bad it's awful."
It starts pretty well: http://www.neogaf.com/forum/showpost.php?p=52035498&postcount=2808
I don't really think it's a mech show, rather than a show with mechs in it.
Never doubt the director of Guilty Crown and HotD?
Kara no Kyokai: Mirai Fukuin PV2: https://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=JHwwrB-fK_s
Director: Tomonori Sudou (Fate/Zero Ep5)
Character Design/Animation Director: Tomonori Sudou, Junya Kikuchi
Ufotable once again giving Sudou a chance to direct!![]()
Seems pretty accurate. Assuming we don't get our hands on Miyazaki/Takahata movies in 2013.2013 in a nutshell:
Winter: Filler -> Spring: LITTLE WITCH ACADEMIA -> Summer: Filler -> Fall: IMAISHI NEW TV SERIES
Was direction really the problem with those two shows?
Let's be fair, he did also direct one of the most well-liked adaptations of an extremely popular shounen manga that is often considered better than the source material. He's certainly capable of directing a show like Attack on Titan, so we'll soon find out what happens when he gets good source material again.

I dunno.. those kind of things existed in HsotD and Guilty crown and they were both dogshit. Maybe he's with a one-hit wonder (with death note) because idk.Araki is a great director when paired up with a unique combination of cheese and overdramatic self-parody. I'm not sure that particular combination exists in Attack on Titan, nor would fans of the manga want it to become that. So... there's that I guess. Outside of that unique combination, I do not think Araki is a very versatile director at all.

Well, Araki is the one that consistently sexualizing violence against women.

I don't think he's very versatile, and AoT isn't as cheesy as his usual material, but it does have lots of moments of over-the-top action, which he's also pretty good at. We'll have to see how he deals with the moments of serious character drama, but I think there are some scenes in Death Note which are also good without resorting to pure cheese.
There's almost no fanservice in the manga, so I wonder how he'll add it to the anime, LOL.
