Wouldn't the people who sign up for this quickly become annoyed once they find that any and all external links people send to each other does not work under that plan? I can only imagine such a plan would be an exercise in realizing how much of the rest of the internet you actually use.

I can only hope it backfires and resounding rejection from consumers completely kills off the idea. This whole thing comes across as etching cracks in net-neutrality thinly veiled as "providing more options."
I never get why when a company offers some optional plan that people get so up in arms about it. If it doesn't work for you, then don't buy it. They won't force you to get it.
But this sounds more like something parents might buy for their teens or something to get people onto Sprint and then upsell them later once they realize only connecting to FB is useless.
Because it's plain as day what these companies are attempting to do. They are planting seeds now to fuck us over later. Just like data caps, they may seem large enough now, but as our usage requirements increase, I guarantee that the caps will not increase at the same rate.
