Just spent $1.20 on a bottle from a vending machine here at school and after drinking about a fourth of the bottle I feel like calling home sick. This shit tastes like laundry detergent and now I feel like I'm going to vomit. Fuck. It feels like... burning... in my... esophagus...

I obeyed my thirst and now I'm paying the price. Fuck you Sprite, action figure, spokesperson thing.

What are some soft drinks that actually quench your thirst, rather than make you feel sick? I'm getting very burned out on soda. -_- I used to love Sprite, Cherry Coke, and Squirt. Now I can't drink any of those. Jones is good, but I'm not sure if it's distributed nationwide.

I've had that and the tropical one and I enjoyed both.

The only thing I've ever tasted that I 'knew' tasted like something awful was Vladimir vodka. As soon as that shit hit my mouth I invisioned myself drinking rubbing alcohol.

Please stop drinking soda. I know it's delicious but it kills your body. I know people who are addicted to it and have developed health problems like being diabetic (not just from soad, but from their eating habbites in general. Soda contributes a lot).

Soft drinks that quench your thirst, but aren't soda?

Drink water, or fruit juice cut with water. A gallon of orange juice is essentially two gallon since i cut it with water.

If you really want to drink sodas, go to a health food store and get a Knudsen's, After the Fall, etc. Some of them might be available in supermarkets in your area in the health food section. Or just mix sparkling water with fruit juice concentrate. That's probably the best thing to do since you can control the amounts of concentrate and sparkling water to add.

All drinks contain sugar (except water, of course) so it's pointless to use scare tactics on your average can-a-day pop drinker. Maybe if the person you were talking to was drinking, say, a case a day...

What's worse is the Lime Diet Coke. People at work keep buying it so I tried it out, only to discover that it tastes like Pledge furniture polish. Absolutely horrible.

"Taste" is also done via the nose; that's why you can describe things as tasting like laundry detergant and other items. It's not the fact you eat it, but you "eat" it via the smells entering your nose. Taste buds stop regernating once you hit your 40's so the nose is what you start tasting more things with.
