I have to say... "no shit"

Star Trek Enterprise producer Manny Coto said this in an interview:

Which period of TREK history would you like to explore more ?

Coto : Personally, although I wouldn't really recommend doing another prequel, The most interesting would be the period during the STAR TREK feature films. However I'd recommend for the next series going to the 25th century because I feel that Star Trek should move forward.

That is what I posted on numerous occasions when I heard Enterprise was going to be a prequel. Prequels suck because we know all of these things on the show. Star Trek was always about the future and humans struggles to adapt to changes.

I said that they should have gone 100 years after Picard, Data... DAMN you Braga and Berman... Plus there is still talk that if there is another movie, they want a pre-Kirk, post-Archer... DAMN YOU!

I'd like to see a movie sequel to DS9. Probably be hard to get teh whole cast together again though, story wise.

I actually dont mind to much if they do another prequel, so long as Berman isnt involed. Enterprise wasnt very good, but these seasn 4 episodes with little Berman involvement have been great (I.E. the Brent Spiner eps).

$50/hour, but no kissing on the lips and colors must be pre-separated
The next Star Trek series will be a futuristic ode to Dawson's Creek entitled 'Star Trek Academy: The Early Years'. You heard it here first!

You guys know that going further into the future means more time travel, right?

That's ok, if it's done RIGHT. It's still sad that Enterprise is going out this season. I mean they've started to put Section 31 into the picture. There's so much potential there.

I've got two words....

U.S.S. Relativity

or

U.S.S Titan

I agree there is so much story to expolore from the end of ds9, and nemesis it can be an immediate continuation in time period fro nemisis. I always hated prequals, damn you lucas we already knew what happened to darth vadar.

That was what PARAMOUNT wanted to do, but Berman is an idiot.

Paramount's plan was to have a slightly different Nemesis that would being a storyline that would continue on to a new series focusing on Riker and his crew on the Titan. The Titan, and several other new ships from the series, were to appear in the movie and the film would be a concrete end to the TNG crew. The series would pick up right where the movie ended with the Titan being the focus in a new Federation-Romulan war.

I would bang a hot farmer!
Star Trekking across the universe, only going forward 'cause we can't find reverse!

It's circular. It's like a carousel. You pay the quarter, you get on the horse. It goes up and down and around. Circular. Circle. With the music. The flow... all good things.

100%. It's not the when, it's the who that will determine the quality.

Whether a prequel or not, it is still the future. And the writing matters much more than the setting.

Good writing is what has been missing in Enterprise for most of the series. That's why people are asking for Trek to take a break.

Maybe they should keep Bakula around, and put him in a series as the captain of a Federation timeship that gets trapped in the past by accident. The same accident that trapped the ship in the past has also screwed up some important events throughout history. Along the way he could be aided by a helpful EMH that only he can see.

No - its not, and even suggesting it should be a bannable offense :)

The best parts of Enterprise ourside of a couple of issues (like Twilight) have absolutely NOTHING to do with time travel. The ones that do are generally cheesy and stupid.
