Star Trek: The next tax write off
I hope everyone realizes that these shows are all losses or have some kind of money laundering financial loophole by now...all the disney stuff...all this garbage thats been shoveled in our faces over the last 10 or so years
So star trek cannon remains tos >tng>ds9>voyager>enterprise>picard season 3 got it
The SNW crossover kinda does, at least in an "animated alternate dimension" sorta way. But I'm not sure anything in LD directly contradicts anything that could/would happen in whatever "main timeline" folks might consider to be canon.I think Lower Decks should be canon as well
If it is just a movie then it's an easy watch. Hopefully we get some good ship fights that are not as crazy hectic as the Abrams ones.I will watch it but I already know is going to be shit.
That could've made it a relevant, evident Trek movie and watchable. They should add Boimler the transporter clone as a main character to the show. Maybe then it will be worth to watch it.
She looks positively ancient in this trailer. A fucking 80 year old grandma kicking ass, in heels, in Star Trek! They have completely lost the plot. How in the world does Michelle Yeoh not age.. Jesus she still looks great.
The trailer made no sense to me. It literally can be any random sci fi show.
This has to be parody or just plain mean-spiritedness at this point, they know how shit this is.

I’ve been watching TNG lately.
TOS was a bit too random and low budget for me. A planet straight outta 30's chicago? For all their bangers there were some reaaaalllll stinkers in there as well. I think the films are what cement TOS as quality for me, especially the II-IV run and then VI. Absolute asskicking storytelling in those films and great character work. Sadly TNG never really got a great film and even their best, the Borg one, was accomplished at the expense of neutering their greatest foe. TNG and then DS9 hit the right balance between quality visuals, strong ensemble casts, compelling sci-fi allegories, and a legit narrative of future humanity.I see they're a lot of TNG fans in here. To me personally the real Star Trek is TOS, I prefer the optimistic tone and the chemistry the old crew had with Kirk, Spock and Bones. So I do prefer Star Trek shows with a bit more action and adventure. My only issue with the new shows is that the writing is terrible.
Exactly. Pay me 12 million to be in a piece of shit, stand in shit or eat shit.Wouldn't you want at least 12 million to be in this piece of shit?
With the Oscar on her side, her price must have went up lot in Hollywood.
men who are really into this kind of thing, who are exactly the men who shouldn't be in the room when we're talking Star TrekHis does she demand 12 mil. What audience does she bring?
I think Michelle has her fans, I've liked her work for decades. But for a Star Trek film the cross over isn't there, especially since I never watched much of her run on Discovery. And her English language work is her worst work IMHO. So its an odd thing to crow about how much you paid her when I don't think she will bring much visibility to the show. Unless this thing is intended to break Star Trek into China or something, appealing to "asian girls" is like a 2% demographic at best. His does she demand 12 mil. What audience does she bring?
Personally I think these shows need to be courting the Hispanic demo more than anything.
I meant more hiring smoking hot Latinas and throwing some Spanish up there. Give me a "Cinco de ocho" lusty Mexican girl over a 70 yo Chinese lady.
