K. LEE GAIDEN
So I just picked up SW:Republic Commando and I am really liking this game....
I am a pritty big fan of Star Wars in general (newest movies suxx, though) and although SW games are traditionally awful, SW Battlefront and now RC makes me think that someone @ LucalArts is being a little more selective with whom they give the SW license???...I hope, I hope..
At any rate, I am not really a hardcore fan of first person squad shooters but they really hold your hand throughout the squad team gameplay and it never seems to be cumbersome or confusing even for a greenhorn like me
Graphics are fine and the music and sound is fab, of course, but I am really liking how the levels are set up so far.....linear, but then again, the team gameplay necessitates this..
I am early in the game but it seems pretty balanced sofar...there are parts that are pretty hectic (as they should be) but not so maddening that you are running around in a frenzy trying to micromanage every single move of your team in order to move forward in the game....
Don't get me wrong...there is quite a bit of babysitting going on in SW:RC but the AI is decent enough to work things out well enough for themselves in many instances.......they often "take the initiative" so to speak, of the things I would like them to do before I have a chance to do it........
Again, I haven't gone too far into the game, but it seems pretty well done so far, and I am enjoying quite a bit
Any other fans of this game?
