Either incompetence, or the desire to add a time sink. MMO's almost never let people reuse their "old" stuff when an opportunity to make them spend days or weeks getting new stuff arises.

Yes, they're titles. "First Line of Defense" is the level 10 one, the Act 1 completion is "The Cutting Edge".

Mine popped up in a mail when i logged on when the servers came back online.
I knew about this stupid restriction and said fuck it, I'm swapping out mods anyway. Kept Rakata hat and gloves for the 2 piece bonus and just gave up the 4th. Was tired of looking like a space cowboy and wanted to look like a smuggler again.
That should be my new tag on emp gaf "Mr lucky" or "porn king"

Bioware altered their "Free 30 Days of game time for Level 50 characters" to include all accounts that have reached Legacy Level 6 by April 22:

Man, 2 levels short... all because I had the bad luck of rolling on a (to be) dead server and having to reroll... I hate them. ><
[Edit: April 22nd not a typo here ? because if that's the case I can make it by next week if I stick to levelling my Trooper]

Black hole armor doesn't have a set bonus, for pvp im assuming then you will have to transfer out of war hero gear to get the set bonus

Hey, did they forget to replace the activation time number of Power Shot and Tracer Missile in the game? I was wondering this since the patch went live. I had read both would have a 2s activation time, but in game it still says it's 1.5.
Edit: Wait, the Muzzle Fluting skill removes 0.5 seconds... but I remember pre-patch the UI telling me both were 1.5 seconds in activation even with that skill learned...

Found the nest by the bridge and there was 2 people camping it, ill just log in every now and then and see if there's one sitting there.
I raised a ticket about the party intiator being removed from the game, apparently it wasn't meant to be removed and will be patched back in at a later date

So I finally was able to play 1.2...for an hour. Now after the new patch I am stuck in an endless miserable cycle of downloading/failing to install/repairing. I haven't been able to play this game for over a day now thanks to this broken ass patching. So fucking pissed.

I feel like in the end... Bioware truly knows best. I went through the QQ cycle for every WoW patch (and blizzard was usually justified in their nerfs in the end) and now again for the swtor patch (class balance wise). QQQQQ according to the ptr notes this class is unplayable, this is game breaking, etc... Classes in general feel a lot more balanced tbh. Maybe damage is a bit too high--I personally don't think so, i think with the deletion of rateds, full BMd people are stomping regular warzones that would have been for fresh 50s and alts--since rateds would have taken all the maxed out people).
With lots of people starting to parse their dps, most guys from a variety of classes that are maximizing their rotation are falling in the 1250-1450 range. Hell, a concealment operative posted his parses of him hitting 1400 (which is extremely close to annihilation marauders which many people see as the benchmark).
I went through the same thing with my Commando. I was nervous when I first read the patch notes, but now I'm fully on board. It was a big nerf, but I feel like the class is better for it.
Been camping one of the sites for 3 hours now...

I was doing warzones while standing in the nest so between matches I looked for it. Just before I found it there were 2 other people there. One got bored and left, I didn't see what happened to the other guy. I wasn't really paying attention, I was chatting with the guild and suddenly it was there. I was lucky.
I've read that the respawn is 4 hours but I came back exactly 4 hours later to see if my girlfriend could get it but it didn't spawn. I waited for an extra 20 mins and nothing.
I filed a ticket. I think the character used a bot since she clicked on it THE SECOND it spawned. I was staring at the screen when it happened and didn't even have time to react. Also, she didn't leave when she got it (why???) or respond to my chats.
If she out clicked me, then that was bad manners but I'll live. But if she used a program to get it, that's not fair.

So Trooper's pulse cannon is now bugged after 1.2
Stacks no longer buff the damage, it does not slow down opponents, and it can be interrupted - unlike what is advertised. I can't believe they'd let this slip through after months of testing.

All bugs aside, Troopers need a bloody nerf. So sick of the 54255543 of you in PvP.
Anywho here's some shots of my UI. Not as clean as I've seen others, but this is what works for me and I love it. Let me know what you think Trevin. If you like it enough you can always swap some things around and tweak it to your own preference.

The issue with all the parses coming out is that they are using the training dummy. Once we start to see a lot of parses for FP/OPS then the OP DPS will be much much lower since BW decided to give all the bosses knockbacks plus initial travel time to bosses.
That's the biggest issue facing OP DPS right now. Minor issues are gaps in the rotation now because of the BS cooldown change which causes major energy issues if you fill that gap with anything but rifle shot.
edit* when I say OP DPS I mean concealment. Lethality is lol.

Mauraders/Sents also have to deal with knockbacks and other melee user issues. All classes have to deal with different mechanics for different boss fights, lot of them have no knockbacks or if you know the fight you will be avoiding and such knockbacks often, while in certain fights its the ranged users who are forced to move around more than the melee users.

Mauraders/Sents have charge that's how they deal with knockbacks. OPs can not get to the fight quickly and can't re-enter a fight quickly like other melees can. That and the cooldown to BS are the only two issues I see for OPs right now.
And this is just my observations from switching back and forth playing my 3 50s.(OP, Jugg, Sin)
edit* also OPs have to deal with positioning. Usually not an issue but can cause a loss in dps as well.

Do you know how slow Operatives move compare to the force user class? We don't have the bouncy ability. Anyway, the nerf suck especially the long ass cool down on backstab/backblast. That really break my rhythm ...

Servers seem like ghost towns.
75 on the fleet on my server. Seems kinda low, but it is Sat late morning.
I did the new Corellia dailies yesterday on my sniper together with a sorc healer, my DPS companion and her tank companion. They were piss easy, and getting to them is hugely easier than Ilum/Belsavis. You talk to a guy on the inner ring on fleet, then go to the planet. The shuttle to the Black Hole is right outside the spacedock, and you pick up all the missions from the same terminal (except the weekly, gotta talk to a guy for that).
We died a couple of times because we didn't notice the radiation candy we got, but other than that we were never really in danger. We even 2-manned the Heroic 4 weekly, had no major issues and got our 6 Black Hole comms!
