Or is it just one of Phil's balls in my throat?
From the Xbox TGS broadcast.

Greetings, commanders! We’re so excited that Game Pass members will soon be joining us in the Korpulu Sector. While the entirety of the original StarCraft and StarCraft II’s multiplayer components are free-to-play, we’re delighted to say that StarCraft: Remastered and StarCraft II: Campaign Collection will be available to anyone with a PC Game Pass or Game Pass Ultimate subscription from November 5.

It's a blessing to have both games in the MS Store.
Warcraft 1, 2, 3 when?
I'd... actually pay good money for a Warcraft 1 with "modern" UI improvements (starting with smart right-click orders like they added starting in Warcraft 2, having to use keyboard shortcuts for everything, including move, gets old very fast).

Available Now!
Battle.net required ( I already have battle.net yet it didnt recognize it, now its just spinning)...

I think I figured it out..
In the battle.net app, it shows as Available for Gamepass and installable on both Starcraft and Starcraft 2
probably gotta have your apps configured for xbox and gamepass somewhere, which I did a while ago???

I've heard that the original Starcraft dosn't work on Windows 11. Is that true? I would like to try out the campaigns for old time sake.

Not sure about the original but the remastered version works great on W11. Very much worth the upgrade, imo

Fixed my problem above, disconnected xbox account from battlenet and reconnecting it fixed it, now gamepass appears active and I can download and play via bnet again.

OH MY FUCKING GOD BLIZZARD AND MS YOU DUMB CUNTS

So after I fixed the problem above, I downloaded "Starcraft remastered" and when I start it, the old 1998 version of Starcraft starts and that's it. In the main menu, there is "Purchase Remastered" tile, in the options is "HD Graphics" toggle which is greyed out and cannot be clicked on, F5 (which I googled should switch graphics) does nothing.

How are they so bad at this?!

Between the Black Ops 6 having the most annoying fucking convoluted startup procedure of any game ever, Battlenet randomly losing xbox link connection and now this shit, I am about to be fucking done with these clowns. I am channeling my inner Bale here. WHAT THE FUCK IS IT WITH YOU

I've beaten all of the campaigns including the Ghost one, not to mention sunk hundreds of hours into the melee maps. It's my favorite game of all time, so I'm all for it.

StarCraft is the 3rd best RTS of all time and it's about time it got some love.

This also needs to come to consoles. If AoE can get ported to Xbox then so can StarCraft.

Come on Give Microsoft some credit. They recently released a Windows bug fix that improved AMD performance to what it should have been years ago.
I bet that drained the one competent gaming software engineer left at the company. He will be on vacation for a few years. When he gets back Microsoft can start promising to do things again.

But until he gets back to work, It's login maze fun times.

Frankly all this sounds accurate given how much of a shitshow MS is

Sad that this needs battle.net, would have liked a native Win store version for the Xbox cheevs.
