Stardew Valley and Red Dead fans, rejoice! Cattle Country is here.

This game just launched. It has the 16-bit look like Stardew Valley, but it's set in the wild west. Roger Clark even voice acts in the game (or at least the introduction).

I gave it a run after seeing it pop up in the store and it's a solid looking one of these games. The one thing I love so far is you can place items on your farm liberally. And the farm is full of junk. It's going to take an entire game year to clear out.

I'm hoping the team continues to put out content for this, maybe add some multiplayer later, but so far I'm very impressed with the look, the setting and the relaxation of it all. I haven't done this yet, but it looks like there's some wild west shoot outs too.

This does look fun! I love that bandits can accost you and start a shootout. I'll probably pick this up sometime soon.

It looks alright but there's just so many of these types of games that look 'good' so I wishlist and just never get around to them. I'm knee-deep in AAA-adjacent ones too like Fantasy Life and waiting to see how the new Rune Factory turns out too, could cop it for Switch 2 some time after launch.

I am the same way. So I bought it and I will say this is hitting the same way Stardew originally did for me. I'm also a sucker for the theme
