Depends on how it affects resolution. I play on a C2 OLED so I have 120hz and VRR, but I do appreciate a crisp image. Also, sometimes 120hz containers elevate black levels and Starfield already has a fucked up black point.
I don't think Xbox is going to release a pro console but I do think its highly possible they start the next generation before Sony does since they are releasing a pro next yearMaybe if they release a pro console in 2 years

I think we have seen the last of the consoles launching side by sidein 2 or 3 years they will release either a pro or a new gen
with all the studios they have it is smart to keep all the games and release them for the new gen at the start
It's time for 12 core consoles. CPU bound is pretty bad this gen
The CPU in the consoles aren't strong enough.
If developers can't utilize more than 6 cores there is no need for 12.
Few updates down the line you never know they might. At least on Series X.
I just started playing today and the game is really good, but something feels really off with the 30 fps. I’m sure Bethesda could work some magic and make an unlocked performance mode at least on Series X. As we know, consoles tend to be easier to optimize for as they are closed systems with all resources dedicated to gaming.
I’d rather have unstable unlocked than 30 fps locked tbh. Playing through FF16 on Performance and while I can notice the drops, I’d rather play a good chunk of the game close to 60. Ultimately, that would just be an option and people could still play at locked 30 if they prefer.
Todd, please make it happen!!!
Me over here playing @ 120fps, max settings, on an ultrawide monitor:Easy to say this when you haven’t tried it at 60.
Im gonna install it on my 3070 laptop with 32 gb RAM and see how far I can take itMe over here playing @ 120fps, max settings, on an ultrawide monitor:

Given how it runs on high end PC, its unlikely, engine is shit
Three words, shared memory pool, which absolutely tanks CPU power in scenarios like this.
So I started this up yesterday on Series X, I have made my character and got to the first enemy conflict at the start with the pirates. I was very underwhelmed with the gunplay / aiming and shooting. It felt very stiff, please tell me this gets better? I had to put it down after that. Will continue tonight but it didn't feel great. This was in first person perspective. Also no Atmos support which annoys me.
Yes. Currently it feels like the game is running at a higher framerate and then being chopped down to 30fps. It does not at all feel like 30fps when moving the camera.

They have to shake it up somehow, so this makes sense. It just isn't good business to keep going directly head on with Sony at this point.I think we have seen the last of the consoles launching side by side
how many people has a VRR TV?
Games profit much more from better single core performance than sheer number of cpu cores. It's time for 12 core consoles. CPU bound is pretty bad this gen
Err That doesn't mean anythingThe LC C9 I bought more than 4 years ago has it, so...

Same, but with Trumotion (natural) turned on. Pseudo 60 fps. Works well, with occasional artifacts. Worth a try for those with an LG Oled as I much prefer that setting over 30fps.Playing on an LG CX and frankly, it’s fine.
wouldn’t that add latency, like crazy amounts of itSame, but with Trumotion (natural) turned on. Pseudo 60 fps. Works well, with occasional artifacts. Worth a try for those with an LG Oled as I much prefer that setting over 30fps.
Not so much on OLEDs with their fast response times.wouldn’t that add latency, like crazy amounts of it
What does that even mean?
Yes it does, but for me it's not noticeable. Test yourself and find out.wouldn’t that add latency, like crazy amounts of it
Nah, you just need a new PCRuns like crap on PC, unless they can fix that I don't think they'll go higher than 30 on console.
Thanks for bumping it up to the top of the forum, making sure more people get to add their views.Great topic for a new thread.
That definitely could not be discussed in a OT
...like you just did? Thanks for bumping it up to the top of the forum, making sure more people get to add their views.
plague had it, third party thoughHas any XSX/S game a 40fps/VRR mode? I thought only PlayStation games got those.
The difference is that I don't care. I don't post on threads I'm not interested in, I just scroll past....like you just did?
