Starfield is now available to stream on GeForce NOW

Can we stream it through game pass for pc or just via steam?
Yup to both! :D

I was going to say it's good that it's on the service because GeForce Now tends to have the best streaming, but right now it's completely broken. The game takes minutes after the stream starts to get from the server side Steam program into the game. Then when it starts up it requires you to build the shaders each time you play, and that process would take who knows how long at the rate it was going. I think I got to 800/7000 in like 5min. while the stream sat there stuttering on the menu screen. Totally fucked experience. They're going to have to fix it.

Is this on the 4080 ultimate tier? I was expecting it to be smooth as butter…

The Game Pass games have been great so far on it.

Just did a run through on new Atlantis on the ultimate tier. Frames still dip there but I was reading over 60fps the entire time.

Outside of the city the game is running silky smooth on GeForce Now in my experience. This is a great solution.

I saw someone mention shader compellation. My game did that as well on boot, but it only took about 40 seconds to complete. outside of that there were no issues once I was in game. I suspect milage may vary on the other service tiers?

I think they were saying it does it everytime you start the game.

So for $30 combined (PC GP + GFN Ultimate Tier) you get to play at 4k and 60fps most of the time. I'd say that's a pretty neat deal.

Definitely works with PC GamePass too?

Yes. Its literally the best way to play but there are no cross saves between Steam and Game Pass PC. I'm running it at 90-100+ FPS as with Shadows down to High. Also my Ping is around 8 ms with a Gigabit Fibre so it looks almost local minus the small artifacts on dark places here and there.

Great thanks (y)

Envious of the ping. Mine tended to hover around 35-40ms connecting to London from Ireland. Just the way it is I guess. Although I feel like this is the type of game where a little bit of latency isn't a huge deal.

Figures, I am in the US Central servers. EU customers are always getting shafted.

I am playing on 9,99 Tier and i can tell you that you have no idea how this game looks on lower tiers.

Oh, Im well aware. The reason why I said what I said is because you didn't specify which tier. Notice how I said Ultimate for myself as my first sentence to you? Please be more factual in your statements.

I tried the Ultimate when it was still running with the 3080 cards and then again with the 4080, but since it is too expensive and the masses use the cheaper tier it is not important. The game does not run well for most with the normal membership.

There's a huge difference in the quality of the Ultimate vs. Priority tiers. Ultimate really is the best bang for the buck.

I would consider 200euro for 1 year as way too expensive, but to each his own.

Well, I can understand the notion. MiniPC's can also help. I can veer you into the right direction. Look up MinisForum PC's on Amazon for a one time purchase of a good PC. I am a Founder for GeForceNow so its around $180 for me but the next 6 months are free for me courtesy of AT&T here.

I have a Pc that is okish. 5600x 3060ti/3070 However, I've only played on the Series X so far because I knew Starfield wouldn't run well for me. And I also like to play via the streaming services. I was also a founder on Geforce now, but i lost it.

So is this Xbox's way of introducing keyboard and mouse support for their games being played via cloud?

Also how do I access the Gamepass version? I have GPU but when I load up GeForce Now the play button is greyed out.

I can understand, that PC seems good enough for 1080P gaming 60FPS+ though and perhaps Mid-Performance 2K with medium settings. Consoles aren't all that great tbh.

I'm not sure why that's the case for you. Maybe they took it offline for a bit to kink some issues with the GPC version?

4080 based local PC would be a ton more expensive then that. Basically it's a trade off.

Personally I have a nice PC at home, but otherwise if you are close to Nvidia servers this isn't a terrible price.

I am wanting to try out the top tier to see how the 4080 performs but there's nothing I really want to play at the minute. Starfield isn't really my cup of tea it turns out. Maybe I should buy Cyberpunk 2022 and put that to the test.

So does GeForceNow connect with Steam and Xbox Game Pass, so I can play my supported games from Steam and pc game pass on it?

I just saw that I can side load GeForceNow into my Quest 3, which might make me give up console gaming altogether.
