Starfield has arrived on Nvidia’s GeForce Now — the most important cloud game yet
You can rent a 4080 to play.www.theverge.com
Sounds awesomeIt looks like shit on Geforce Now. And it barely runs.

I saw someone mention shader compellation. My game did that as well on boot, but it only took about 40 seconds to complete. outside of that there were no issues once I was in game. I suspect milage may vary on the other service tiers?
So for $30 combined (PC GP + GFN Ultimate Tier) you get to play at 4k and 60fps most of the time. I'd say that's a pretty neat deal.Just did a run through on new Atlantis on the ultimate tier. Frames still dip there but I was reading over 60fps the entire time.
Outside of the city the game is running silky smooth on GeForce Now in my experience. This is a great solution.

Definitely works with PC GamePass too?
Great thanksYes. Its literally the best way to play but there are no cross saves between Steam and Game Pass PC. I'm running it at 90-100+ FPS as with Shadows down to High. Also my Ping is around 8 ms with a Gigabit Fibre so it looks almost local minus the small artifacts on dark places here and there.
Great thanks
Envious of the ping. Mine tended to hover around 35-40ms connecting to London from Ireland. Just the way it is I guess. Although I feel like this is the type of game where a little bit of latency isn't a huge deal.
I am playing on 9,99 Tier and i can tell you that you have no idea how this game looks on lower tiers.I'm playing on Ultimate. And I can agree that your statement is full of shit.
It's not the first time I've used Geforce Now and I haven't had any problems so far. DSL 100 mbit. Connected over ethernet. What's your connection?
I guess the proximity to the nearest data center would also make a difference.

I tried the Ultimate when it was still running with the 3080 cards and then again with the 4080, but since it is too expensive and the masses use the cheaper tier it is not important. The game does not run well for most with the normal membership.Oh, Im well aware. The reason why I said what I said is because you didn't specify which tier. Notice how I said Ultimate for myself as my first sentence to you? Please be more factual in your statements.

I would consider 200euro for 1 year as way too expensive, but to each his own. There's a huge difference in the quality of the Ultimate vs. Priority tiers. Ultimate really is the best bang for the buck.

I have a Pc that is okish. 5600x 3060ti/3070 However, I've only played on the Series X so far because I knew Starfield wouldn't run well for me. And I also like to play via the streaming services. I was also a founder on Geforce now, but i lost it.Well, I can understand the notion. MiniPC's can also help. I can veer you into the right direction. Look up MinisForum PC's on Amazon for a one time purchase of a good PC. I am a Founder for GeForceNow so its around $180 for me but the next 6 months are free for me courtesy of AT&T here.

So is this Xbox's way of introducing keyboard and mouse support for their games being played via cloud?
Also how do I access the Gamepass version? I have GPU but when I load up GeForce Now the play button is greyed out.
4080 based local PC would be a ton more expensive then that. Basically it's a trade off.I would consider 200euro for 1 year as way too expensive, but to each his own.
