Really not sure where you are getting this information from, typically most staff at game publishers don't get to play the game until release day, I very much doubt they are taking home copies 4 weeks before the game releases

Having been in some family and friends game preview I can assure you some people get to play games from these companies (especially Xbox) early though its limited
Its not like they walk around the office handing out copies to someone answering phones

I was wondering about the game status. Usually dev houses announce when their games have gone gold. And it's also common for reviewers to play older code and not final or without day one patch code.
Hehehe I have no delay fantasies regarding the game I want to play a little bit of it at least. I do not have time nor the will to play western rpgs.

If the game is a barely functional bug ridden excuse for a game that makes Series S explode, then surely they'd just not say anything.

There's a ton of reports of bugs from minor to game breaking in Baldur's Gate 3. People will excuse those if the base game is great, and if it isn't crazy widespread.
That said, fingers crossed they deliver Starfield without a crazy amount of bugs.

Same here, I usually do this like once per year when my most hyped game of the year comes out.
I really wanted to do that for FFXVI but work was too damn busy. Looks like that was such a blessing in disguise since I can't play that game more than 1-2 hours at a time before it puts me to sleep.
Work is quieter, kids will be back in school, and I am going to sit on my ass drinking coffee and playing Starfield for an entire week. Can't wait!

Last night I was moving around boxes in a room yet they stayed in their original place after moving, but only their invisible non moved clone boxes

Actually, his history seems to check out. He's been consistent in his claims. Down to posting about feeling worried during the Microsoft layoffs earlier this year.
Why? would seeing tv ad spots and photos on trains and buses give impressions on the game's quality and depth?

Dude's a balanced gamer. Seems to work for Bethesda, owns both flagship consoles and is a Destiny fanatic. Shares a lot of clips from his PlayStation too.
I can respect that. That's what gaming should be about.
only skepticism one could credibly have would be to say he might have some bias, since he works there and has been crazy about Starfield for a while.
Hopefully we get some hands on impressions from press. Kinda overdue at this point.
