It's always weird thinking about how Roland Emmerich spawned this franchise.

And now he's taking it back with a vengeance.
I've been slowly recording footage of the Alliance. I've had access to it a few years now, didn't buy it otherwise it would be on the net already.

There is some other, crappier footage out there, but this is about as good as it gets.
The game really isn't even an alpha, there are entire levels that weren't even developed at the time. The game crashes, a lot, taking me hours to finish some levels that would take a fraction of that.
The PC build is the start of the show. The Xbox build is far chopped up and really not good. The PS2 build was basically a publisher request and was never going to happen.
Am I the only one who liked Universe?
Tell me more about it. I can't think of much other than shooting games (disgusting in the context of Star Trek), weak to mediocre adventures and an MMO, none of which dealing properly with the social and moral questions that make Star Trek special. We've had some fantastic games from (...) Star Trek (...) that have done the whole universe justice.
Eh... not really? A lot of the ideas/concepts aside from cool stuff like the diving into the sun stuff and use of real science felt like rehashes of Atlantis ideas or were really dumb in the context of a series (the whole "god signal" thing that could've easily been an artifact of the Big Bang).
Here's the best Stargate game available and it's free: http://www.adventuregamestudio.co.uk/site/games/game/634/Basically I want a stargate game and needed to moan about the lack of games
Here's an idea you don't hear too often.
Stargate Shelter.
Build your SGC, send people on offworld missions, all that fun stuff. Much more simple than a huge project, and could be worthwhile.
We almost had one. SG1 The Alliance looked pretty damn good at the time. I was so crushed when that game got cancelled. Of all the cancelled games in the world, this is the one I would choose to revive if I could.
Apparently the mobile game was pretty good, havnt tried it myself though.
Correct! I felt it had a number of flaws myself but showed promise. Ultimately it was what I envisioned a Stargate game being, but felt the team involved needed more time to develop the idea.
Sadly, I never got to play it, and it has since been removed due to the developer closing their doors.
This is still up though by fans getting the servers back up...

Honestly, you can get most of what made it good in my eyes from youtube videos, just find someone who did a lets play and watch them all!
EDIT: Oh I should also mention the author Sally Malcolm has stated she is working on a Novelization of it, if you wanted to look into that. No idea on release though!
