Starship Troopers was one of the greatest B movies ever. It's a classic B goodness.

I watched this movie knowing that it wouldn't be very good, but even I wasn't prepared for the amount of sucking that it did. Also, what the hell was up with the technology? I guess in the future humans have star travel but are reduced to using WWII radios and night vision goggles from the 80s.

Paul Verhoeven knows how to make a B-movie and sell it to the masses. Phil Tippett does not. That's the real difference.

To be fair, Phil Tippett only had 1/10 of the budget that Verhoeven had. Although I imagine even with a larger budget this movie would still suck. It really had no redeeming features (outside of 20 seconds worth of nudity).
