Changes/Additions

Added G.I.G.N and Guerilla player models
Sniper rifles that are in the process of zooming in don't get the zoomed-in accuracy bonus
Fixed crosshairs when running in a widescreen aspect ratio
Added a 'nextlevel' server side command to force intermission and a switch to the specified map after the current round
Fixed bug where players were able to throw grenades through thin walls
Added a server message for teammate attacks
Fixed buy menu not having mouse focus
Fixed buy menu re-opening when you try to close it.
Fixed centerprint panel and frames per second panel not resizing correctly after a resolution change.
'&' chars in player names show in the scoreboard and spectator UI
In-eye spectators see punch angles
Fixed bots thinking they are still on a higher nav area when they fall off
Added nav area ID to the bot debug prints
Extended the bot_add*, bot_kick, and bot_kill commands to accept skill (easy, normal, hard, expert) and/or weapon preference (sniper, shotgun, etc) arguments. For example, typing ‘bot_add_ct expert” will add a random bot of ‘expert’ difficulty to the CT team.
Added difficulty, weaponclass, and skill modifiers to the bot_prefix string
Navigation mesh editing - raising/lowering corners correctly snaps adjacent corners to the same height

I'm loving that models now carry main weapons in the back while holding guns/knifes or barebone, pretty cool touch.

And that makes me happy. Unskilled AWP whores are something horrible. Let them experience the pain of my AK, HAHAHAHAHA! :D
 
Cool. Still, I usually try to boot up CS really late at night if I have nothing better to do and just want to play a bit before bed, and the simple addition I would most want them to add is to just be able to filter servers with bots. Late at night you've literally got an 90/10 chance of entering a server full of bots versus a server with actual players. Trying to find a server with players for 15 minutes and coming up with nothing really tends to kill the interest.

It's about freaking time. Of all the online games I've played Valve is taking the longest to address all the game's complaints. I thought Bungie took a while with Halo 2, but it's taken even longer for Counter-Strike: Source to be addressed.

It was about time, really. People launching assaults with AWPs was not funny.
 
The server I play on has all sniper rifles disabled anyway, so this won't make a huge difference for me. I still downloaded the update this morning so it'll be ready whenever I have time to play.
 
Wow, even though the sniper rifles annoy me and I rarely use them I must say you play on a pussy server. Sounds like admins there get owned too much.
 
It's just a different style of play. It's a 40 person server and friendly fire is on. With the amount of clusterfucking that occurs with that many people it would probably be really easy for a sniper to pick people off.
 
I hated VIP because I always seemed to get stuck with a CT team that had a mentally retarded person playing as VIP, that no matter how good the CTs were, it didn't matter because the VIP would always get owned, going off on his own etc.

Oilrig however, was a kick ass stage. I can't wait to play cs_militia on source. It was one of my fav maps, despite being horribly unbalanced

IIRC you can distinguish the two by the pings of players on the server you are connecting to. Haven't played in a while though.
 
I remember one time on oilrig when the CTs got most of the way out, only to discover that the VIP was swimming laps in the pool at the bottom of the map.
 
Well, retardness is part of CS' appeal, there is no point in denying that :lol

But oilrig was soooo awesome. I still remember the bitching the day the VIPs got pistols instead of just a knife. After all that time being escorted and hiding, most VIP players went gun-ho with their new pistols after the terrorists (only to find death and suffering)

Good times, good times :D
 
I always tried to play smart and stay safe as the VIP. But if I ever got separated from the team or all the other CTs got killed, it ruled sneaking up on T's and taking them down.
 
Yeah, the silencer rocked the house for those situations. I did manage to scape quite a few times even with all my buddies dead. Just waiting in dark places, popping some heads and running to the heli at full speed.

BTW, I can't believe we are the only people playing CS here =/
