Steam Deck early prototype

I want to see the back lol. Love the deck, but the ergonomics of the back buttons need to be improved whenever they make a new one.

Half the power, I wonder if it's also half the weight.
After a while a playing my launch Steam Deck it's starts to feel a bit heavy.

Really hope they can make the bezel less prevalent in the next Deck.

I know some of those other handheld devices look the part but actually don't perform that well but I'd love for Valve to make the next iteration more sleek.

Really like the half-moon back buttons on the Dualsense Edge. Hope they copy them for the lower ones and figure out something better for the uppers.

Like the top triangle buttons on the prototype. Also like the round touchpads. They were great on the Steam controller and perfect for scrolling. Like the square ones too so not sure. Maybe round on left, square on right.

Love my steam deck.
But every fucking time i rebuy the games on my switch when they hit a release.

Steam deck ergonomics suck

Imagine thinking the switch's ergonomics are better than the steam deck. Maybe if you have baby hands but holding the switch oled causes hand cramps within 30 minutes. It's too thin and especially horrible for FPS games or any games for that matter.

I wish Steam Deck looked more like that. I prefer handhelds to be as slim and small as possible. It kinda defeats the purpose hauling a huge brick around. The OneFly X and GPD Win Mini are to me ideal sizes for 7'' devices. The Ally X is also of slimmer body while sporting superior perf/battery/cooling.
