Well I feel like a fool getting this on PS4 when it came out and hardly playing it. Luckily, I suppose I can wait til AE comes out next year on Steam and double dip on that for a discounted price...one can hope.

Arcade Edition is a free update for current owners, you would just have to buy the DLC characters if you haven't already.

Here's the Capcom Unity post about it.

Prepare yourselves, Street Fighter V: Arcade Edition is coming out on January 16, 2018! If you’ve been spectating from the sidelines or are waiting for a reason to join the fight, now is the time! In addition to the highly-requested Arcade Mode, Street Fighter V: Arcade Edition contains a bounty of new features you’ll want to check out. Let’s get to it!

Street Fighter V: Arcade Edition will feature all 28 characters, including those from Season 1 and 2 – with one more from Season 2 still to be announced. For those yearning for more options, each character will receive a second V-Trigger, which will significantly change their playstyle. You may need to relearn your main or perhaps try another character, which speaks to you in a different way due to their alternate abilities. Stay tuned for more information on each character’s second V-Trigger!

As it’s our 30th anniversary year, we wanted to celebrate by making sure Street Fighter V: Arcade Edition contained a plethora of new content. True to its name, Arcade Mode is coming to Street Fighter V: Arcade Edition and will be an experience ripe with nostalgia. Furthermore, we’re adding in Extra Battle Mode, a Gallery, and completely redesigning the UI to amplify the epic quality of this new version. We have much more to share on each of these modes and more content to reveal in the future!

You know, can we just fucking forget about the stupid Cuphead tutorial controversy, alright? It wasn't funny when Dean from Venturebeat had trouble doing it. It definitely wasn't funny when Ian Piles Dong and his Gamergate cronies went after Dean because he "couldn't do his job" nonsense. Lastly, it wasn't funny having people want the OT title of Cuphead or an achievement for Cuphead to be about completing the "Dark Souls of tutorials". Even Teeth has stated this so.

Just move on from it and enjoy the game because it's a damn fun game from the couple of hours I played from it.

I still think it's pretty funny. I don't mind if you're offended by it.

12 days till release. $7.99/€7.99
(awesome price! I mean, I was willing to pay at least twice as much for a new gorgeous reserve that's as huge as the original ones, with 80+ new missions and more)

I've just started playing Mushroom Wars 2:

This type of game is VERY specific. Calling it an RTS is not *quite* accurate. If you want to play a similar game to get an idea of what Mushroom Wars is like:

http://store.steampowered.com/app/294160/Galcon_2_Galactic_Conquest/

It's free to play.

I'm not sure what it is about this particular flavor of game but it GRIPS MY BRAIN! It's analogous to spinning multiple plates and for each particular plate there is a separate game of Rock Paper Scissors. It requires a lot of concentration and saps all of my mental ability to play on harder difficulties.

There are very few spins on the formula, but it's essentially a Realtime Economic Strategy.

I realize these types of games aren't for everyone but I really really like this very niche genre of games.

The patch fatigue is real in Dota right now. Chilly toad needs to get some meta changes out ASAP.

Yup. Post TI fatigue is real but it gives me a chance to actually play other games! This actually made we rewatch the Dueling Fates trailer, cant wait to spam Sylph when she comes out.

Its about skillz in games journalism

If we can’t attack the games press and game developers nonstop for trivial bullshit, what’s the point of posting on a video game forum? Games are overrated. Controversies and stupid, played out inside jokes are where it’s at.

Just a thought, people generally don't appreciate being told what to think and what to say. If people find it amusing and want to talk about it, you should let them. You can't be in control of what people say just because you're tired of hearing it.
Yeah telling people what to think or say definitely isn’t the whole point of a forum, no sir.

People are saying the patch just removes DLC files they put in the original release erroneously.

I went to the steam forums to verify this, but I immediately regretted that choice. What a cesspool...

But if you're telling me that KT is lying about fixing issues... I can't tell if I believe that or not. That's outlandishly dickish.

A friend of mine had a good idea yesterday... he said the Cuphead devs should add an achievement for completing the tutorial and call it "Venture and Beat".

I know Teeth reads this thread sometimes but sadly he doesn't get to be petty in the real world the way we get to be in our imagination :p

Nah.

I mean, I could have been petty in tons of inoffensive ways (S-rank the entire game achievement, beat all bosses without getting hit, parry 1000 times, etc), but I took care in making the Achievements in Cuphead as non-obnoxious as possible, while still maintaining a decent challenge level (For instance, the Achievement for beating a plane boss by just using the small plane shot is worth 0 points, so you can still get the 1000pts without having to do that kind of pain).

But considering we've had other actual devs call us out for being incompetent at game development and/or baiting gators simply for existing, I would prefer everyone just forget the tutorial business entirely.

What are your favorite local multiplayer games? I've been getting a lot of use out of my Steam Link with my roommates. Mostly cuphead and a few fighters.

I could have sworn there was a bundle with Yomawari and Firefly Diaries without the DLC. Did they remove it or am I just remembering wrongly?

Those tweets even bothered me.

For Steam, yeah there are a couple of games I tried out in local co-op that I do enjoy with the very few friends that visit me. Cuphead is one example, of course. There's also Spelunky which has local co-op and deathmatch. Towerfall is another one that is great. Enter the Gungeon also has a team co-op mode.

And since Teeth is in here, I would like to add a suggestion in a future patch for Cuphead: to make Mugman playable in single player mode. I don't know why but I am hashtag Team Mugman and wouldn't mind playing as him if it's possible.
