One other thing that made me unable to care is that the story took place in-between books/seasons, and it's such a minor house that in the grand scheme of things, none of this would affect the main story. As for the fate of the protagonists, I let as many of them to be killed as I could then deleted the game, but since it's Telltale, I'm not sure how much control I really had.

Ouch, and it's been so acclaimed as well :/
I've only tried it for like an hour so far so I'll tinker away but it's very confusing and doesn't give a good job of presenting mechanics or information to my mind.
The one thing I knew was great about the game was the writing but it seems you could easily get into a rhythm of clicking the many icons at each port in a rush and just missing it all in the interest of time
I managed to find an island with a post office run by rats and then sailed off the map to be plopped back at a random port. I hadn't selected my character's ambition assuming id get to when I want later but I don't know how to do so. Think I'll try a new run and see where it takes me.
Fwiw I've not played the browser game but I'd bet many have not

Kim Wu announced for killer instinct season 3.
This XCOM 2 stream from PAX about modding is just making it even harder to wait until next Friday. It looks so great. I really hope the game just sells gangbusters so that people are incented to create a million awesome mods.

Probably about as much control as you did in Life is Strange.
Yeah, it's hard when you hear about some minor house popping up and attempting to care about it because it's just a side story that doesn't ultimately affect anything. But they were forced to go that way because otherwise they'd be screwing with known facts regarding the books/series, whichever it's a "companion" story to.
But I see what you're saying and don't fault you for it. It's not Telltale's best work and compared to Tales from the Borderlands, it falls flat. But it was a decent enough experience and it was kind of cool seeing the actors from the show, though Queen Margaery's face didn't quite translate right, I think.
From my limited experience with KI2 (that's where she's from, right?), I don't remember caring that much about her; hopefully her redesign is at least interesting.
But get to the important stuff already, like the PC release date!
it's kind of hilarious to see people shitting on the witcher 3 for its combat as an argument in favor of fallout, I mean they both suck to me
some people on gaf can't enjoy more than one game in the same genre it seems

Half serious/half troll answer? The Division looks like Generic Triple A: The Game. It's like they took all of the world art from Watch_Dogs and ambient pedestrian character models and made another game out of it all.

that's kind of true! but I think that's also true for majority of the AAA tps games out there, it does some interesting things although I'm not sure how much contents there are for the final game

Not counting the two boss characters. After Kim Wu and Tusk every KI veteran will be in the new game. Gargos (Killer Instinct 2 Boss) is already teased in Season 2. So really only Eyedol is the character that might not come back. I do think we'll see another third party character alongside Rash.
Rise Of The Tomb Raiders intro feels like a challenge about how many Uncharted tropes the developers can fit in the shortest amount of time. It also takes a long time to get going. I'm three hours in and everything still feels like a tutorial section for me. I hope it gets better later on.

The first title released when I was like...8, at best. And it's a tactical RPG/JRPG. I lost interest already. Sounds niche. Was on DS? Even worse. This is why no one cares. It's on a handheld that people only buy to play Pokemon and remasters/remakes of Zelda, let's be real.
There's gonna be about a dozen of you here who play it, only to then say... well, back to Trails, or something.
E: Marvellous Miss Take is a great little stealth title with a jazzy soundtrack. Whoever gets it better play it.
