nah, I'm not buying it yet, I'm just surprised they're charging more in this region, usually I think games are slightly cheaper at least on consoles

Did you finish all the challenges as well? That can take anyone's playtime over the 100 hour mark. They really went overboard on those.

Asylum didn't have enough challenge's, but like you said, City went a bit crazy with them. And I like that.

Besides that I'm also very interested in Monster hunter 3 Ultimate - played over 100 hours on vanilla version on Wii - and 3D Mario world, too bad I've been rather skint in recent times
Ooooh. I admit I got bored of ETS2 pretty quickly, but a graphics upgrade could definitely improve my ability to enjoy myself as I lumber along at agonizingly slow speeds.

Edit: Oh, intentional disqualification might work, but I'd always assumed this imposed some sort of cooldown period.
If its not a free for all, just enter again and you'll disqualify yourself. Otherwise, just hope you're unlucky I suppose.

If DW8 is moddable then someone should mod in the Japanese audio into the game
*welp* Well in true to my form and test subject style I've joined the 4k (insert adjective here) race. Though it suddenly dawned on my that Windows is still shit for system wide DPI scaling. Fired up a custom resolution and yep Steam doesn't scale at all and looks bloody tiny. This is going to end in tears I can feel it

Replacing the data files should work. Unfortunately SteamDB's experimental insight into depots is currently limited to redists, but in the future it may be possible to look into language-specific depots to ascertain which files in particular need replacing -- for now, though, you have to experiment.

Uplay store is having some deals right now like left 4 dead 2 and portal 2 for 5$
Are these games in uplay or in steam after you buy them ? Why are valves games there at all ?
I've never used uplay but I thought its like steam or origin for ubisofts games ?

You'll receive a Steam key.
Valve has been slowly expanding the availability of its own games. Initially, in addition to Steam, it was just GameStop/Impulse, but now they're also available on GMG, GameFly, and most recently, apparently, Uplay.
It is, but like Origin, Uplay also offers a select handful of third-party titles.

Ubisoft and EA have a stick up their arses about mentioning Steam as a requirement. To the best of my knowledge, no store page for a Steam-redeemable game on Uplay mentions it, and Origin barely fares any better with just one (Darksiders 2).
If it's a Valve or Steamworks game, you'll get a Steam key; if it's an Ubi game, you'll get the Uplay version. This also applies to Origin, with the exception of DMC and perhaps also Capcom's other games.

I'd love to know the distribution percentage on something like Watch_ Dogs (sold copies only of course and not Nvidia freebies). It's about the only big budget game I know that is tied to 3 separate content delivery platforms at the time of release, as in Orgin copies need Orign, Steam copies need Steam and Uplay and the previous 2 platforms need Uplay as well.
Shame Steamcharts only goes back to mid 2012 as it would be nice to compare launch weeks with ACIII but Watch_Dogs was knocking on 48k concurrent users at one point. I wonder how many Uplay only bought copies there were by comparison?

Probably a heap because thats where all the cheap copies came from. I would've loved to get it off Steam but couldn't justify the $20 price difference over GMG.
