Nah man. AMD Ceo saying "Get it done", Cliffy "I like your butt divot", and Day9's very intimate mic share were the highlights.
was watching yandere sim videos during half the conference

most of the games shown were so boring

i forgot about the rollercoaster game with the happy dinosaur

that one looked cool too

Did you expect japanese games?

(I at least expected Type 0 HD)

nah, i love to be pleasantly surprised but i wasn't expecting anything out of this conference, really- clearly the conference was aimed at a kind of person that oh boy it isn't me

i would've loved to hear about persona 5 being released on pc but i'm not THAT dumb

nier 2, final fantasy 7 remake and a new dark souls are good enough for one e3 i think

InfiniteNine

Rolling Girl
Well with the Nier 2 announcement I feel life I chose wisely with my PS4 purchase. StarFox Zero makes me ignore that they butchered Metroid too.
Killer Instinct on PC will be pretty fun too! :D

Well by the time Nier 2 is out it should be half that.

I dont know. I was just expecting some more namedropping. I mean Tales of is coming to PC, Type0HD is coming to PC, Toukiden. Would love to hear more ports, since I am sure we will still get quite a lot ports of japanese consolegames.

I wasn't too hyped about Star Fox until I heard it was a platinum joint. Not sure why they didn't play that up more.

irresponsible vagina leak
Just give me Senran Kagura x Dead or Alive Beach Volleyball or something

DOA with Ivy from Soul Calibur as guest character sounds better.

EDIT:
How does block all communications on steam works? Does it remove my friend from my friend list or simply I show up offline to them? Never used it but I would like to know since there is someone that I rather not deal and Im keeping myself offline. Not GAF related so don't feel like its any of you. (yet)

Wow, second June thread already. I guess it's all due to E3/Steam Sale combo, yes?

Just catch up with PC Gamer's E3 conference. A little bit disappointed, I expected more indie news and announcement.

No it's not. I get the exploration and procedurally generation is cool but I need more of a drive than just exploring and being the first one on a planet. I mean to be fair there is more to it than that. But Id still like some kind of story and what not.

I'll probably still give it a try at some point though.

I'll share with you what I know.

Upon start you're dropped in a random part of the universe, with basic gear to get around, and the goal to the game is to get to the centre of the Universe, after that you'll enter a post-state. I wouldn't call it story and we're not even sure if it's plot but it seems to be a very big deal. Then again they have said that if you so desire you can play the game without ever making that trip, that's not essential but that it's what they challenge you to achieve, make it from the outskirts to the epicentre by whatever means you deem fit and your reward will be to uncover the secret,

As I said, after you get to the centre you'll enter a post-game state, so far there has been no further information on what that means.

As for gameplay, whether you want to reach the centre or just explore you have a common issue; you start with basic gear and you'll need to upgrade. You can upgrade your ship, riffle and suit for different conditions, you can specialise to survive in harsher or even inhospitable environments, to become a better fighter or to become a greater gatherer.

There'll be materials, not confirmed if usable to craft or enhance, that you can sell in trading outposts and different materials have different going rates in different areas as a normal economy would work and it appears that hunting wildlife has no benefit. Choose this path, deplete a planet of its resources and you'll find yourself being hunted down by sentries design to protect the planets. It was mentioned once but not confirmed that if you become know in several planets for heavy gathering of natural resources you'll be greeted with hostility in further planets you come across.

There is another element at play for PvE, and that also functions as PvP if you desire, you can gain fame and fortune simply by participating in several faction wars or hunting down other players but so far there's been no word as to bounties being a thing.

Why do I keep getting tweets promoting G2A is what I want to know

It resells keys behind the backs of developers/publishers. Do not buy unless you want to deal with your purchases potentially getting revoked (and no refund if that happens to you.)

Has this actually been confirmed in any other case but the UBIsoft one? Cause i think they got refunded when revoked (from kinguin/g2a)

I understand this viewpoint, but based on what we know of it now, I see No Man's Sky scratching a similar itch for me as, say, Euro Truck Simulator - in the same way, I guess, that I've seen some others say that Elite: Dangerous does (which I have no experience of yet).

While perhaps getting cargo from point A to B is more of a defined 'mission' than what we might have in NMS, the mechanics of working toward the over-arching goal of heading toward the centre of the galaxy, and the 'levelling-up' required, I can see as being somewhat similar to the growing of your garage(s) and business empire, and upgrading your trucks etc.

The main attraction still remains just to hop into the cab, though, to find some road I haven't travelled yet, and to chill out and enjoy the journey.

I appreciate the write up. Though even with this and everything I have seen, I'm still just not feeling it. It's on my list to try for myself at some point. Hopefully then it sticks.

That's where my problem lies. I'm just not good with exploring and being able to just do whatever. Maybe it my creative/imagination drive but I lose interest in games such as that. Why I won't play something like mine craft, survival games, and other things of similarity. As I said still going to try it at some point though, maybe Itll get me over this not liking to explore hump.

E3 is finally over. Now I just have to stay awake for 16 more hours, so I can go back to my normal sleep pattern :D

NeoGaf Steam Chat was pretty fun during the PC Gaming Show. I'll definitely come back :D

my constructive criticism for the pc e3 thingie would be:
- thing was too long, or felt too long. shorter next time pls
- too many bohemia games. i don't hate bohemia or anything, i genuinely had fun trying to figure out the arma2 controls like it was some sort of fez puzzle or something, but it's so many similar games is kind of lame
- more videos, less talking. at least less talking before the videos
- no more talking about videocards. no more talking about hardware. omg that was so fucking bad. that mystery case was only good for smashing your head open with it
- if you're gonna do like a late show thing then maybe not have like half the developers stand and do traditional e3 conference thing? felt very awkward
- if you're gonna interview developers, why not have them do like a live playthrough or something rather than play a cg trailer or whatever? indies actually did this in the show, so get bigger games to do that too
- indie:bigger games ratio was pretty good
- needs a few bigger reveals, it's not cool to make half the show out of like expansions for existing games. it's just nowhere near as exciting. i guess this is something that comes with pc games just lasting longer than console games or something, but still, announcing new games is cool, that beyond eyes shit was super cool

uhh that's all i got

Well by the time Nier 2 is out it should be half that.
it doesn't work like that in argieland unfortunately

it's never half ;_;

i would love to see tons of japanese games but i don't think this conference really had us in mind

Has card idling time been increased to counteract refunds? Cause idlemaster seems to be taking forever for cards to drop
