Final damage:

£3.74 - Counter-Strike: Source & Garry's Mod
£3.74 - The Longest Journey & Dreamfall
£3.55 - The Path & Eversion
£2.59 - Torchlight
£0.75 - Flight Control HD
£2.49 - Bully
£1.49 - Deus Ex
£3.24 - Left 4 Dead
£0.89 - Audiosurf
£4.99 - The Last Remnant

£27.47

And an awesome gaffer was kind enough to sell me a spare BioShock he had.

Overall I'm very happy with the sale, although I've had this Steam account for years, I don't really use it, recently I've been trying to build it up to match my old flatmate's which I used to use, I've probably got 80% of everything I want now, I should have everything I want by the time the year is out, and all for a very reasonable price.

I didn't specially have a $100 spending limit... funny that it turned out this way. I actually thought long and hard about every single one of my purchases, trying to avoid "zomg cheap!" buys. Or else I would have nabbed Prince of Persia pack, and a bunch of other stuff.

Although, I still succumbed to it a few times. Hacker Collection, Paradox Fantasy Pack, King Arthur Collection, and Faerie Solitaire weren't games that were even remotely on my hit list but I bought on impulse.

That "money saved" total above def. feels very very good, but I do think it's a bit misleading. The $195 that id normally asks for their complete pack is fucking nuts, for example. It should probably be about $100 normally, dropping to 30 for sales.

As I've mentioned before, this is my first steam sale with a game-capable PC. (I'm a Mac user and finally got Bootcamp set up). So there's a bunch of purchases in this sale I had to get "out of the way." In future Steam sales, I should be able to be more targeted, and keep my total to hopefully $50-60.

It'll be interesting to see how far through my list I get before the winter sale rolls around. Maybe I'll set the next sale's spending cap at the total cost of the games I complete between here and there.

I've already played a lot of the games I bought.

Some I haven't installed because I'm waiting for the download speeds to return to normal but I plan on playing them all.

Crazy, I know.

These items = bought.

Planned purchases
Alpha Protocol - Not played, not installed yet.
Civilization V DLC
Europa Universalis III: Divine Wind
Fallout: New Vegas DLC
Frozen Synapse - Installed, played intro and a test skirmish. Seems like a good purchase.
Portal 2: The Final Hours - Not tested, not installed yet.

Unplanned purchases:
Bully - Not played, not installed. The most unneccessary purchase I did. I have played somewhere between 5-10 hours on the PS2 version earlier. Sold it, but can´t quite remember why.

Warhammer: Dawn of War II - Retribution - Played for 5 hours in campaign and last stand mode. Bought it because it seemed like a valid purchase - a 2011 steamworks RTS title, which fits nicely in my Steam account. Really like this, and the Ork campaign is actually funny written. Went back and bought a couple of DLC items.

Wings of Prey - Bought because of price, and the commitment of the developers (patched out DRM and then released a very big patch in june. It runs perfect on my computer, and seems like a very polished title. Very satisfied with this purchase.

Don´t know the actual sum, but it´s more than manageable.

Slightly interesting titles I didn´t buy because of backlog fears
Defense Grid: The Awakening
Football Manager 2011
Monday Night Combat
Terraria
Total War: Shogun 2
Trine
X3: Terran Conflict

I always buy a lot more than I think I'll actually beat, but when the games get down into the 2-5 dollar range it doesn't really matter. That's less than the price of a meal

3 games, 2 for me, 1 gifted to my girl....

And this from someone who probably spent close to a grand on last summer's sale. Just don't have the time. And my backlog is already epic.

I didn't spend much at all, but I'm definitely cutting on my future purchases - no games until November for me, let's see how many games I can burn through in 4 months (my backlog is about 30 games at the moment).

Recattear
Abe's Odyssey 1 & 2
A.R.E.S
Fallout 3 GOTY
F1 2010
£4 steam wallet cash spent in TF2 (had an itch)

something like £20 spent, sorted!

You should ask that question, and everyone who made any purchases should ask themselves the same question. Having 50-100+ titles in your Steam account that you aren´t playing is just a waste of money.

Magicka+Vietnam DLC: $5.08
Frozen Synapse: Received as gift.
Portal 2 - The Final Hours: $0.99

All of them are great games/documentaries. Only small regret is I have to find people to play Magicka with now. >:D

At least I'll be able to enjoy the shit out of each of these titles.

Tomb Raider: Anniversary (played once several years ago on gametap, but $2.50? price was worth another play)
Tomb Raider: Underworld

Total - $9.98

That was it for me. I wanted to get Mass Effect 2 but I decided to pass and wait until the next sale since I still have quite a few games to play. Also one thing the bugs me with ME2 is even with the low price, the DLC cloud is always looming in my mind so it would end up costing almost $30 getting the ones I wanted.

The only thing I wish I bought wish 75% Prince of Persia franchise package. These kind of sales don't really do anything for me. I mostly buy games that I want to play on release, and games I get cheaply later, I don't seem to play them at all.

Not too bad. Some I've already owned on retail and will now get rid of via offloading to my brother. Was gifted Alpha Protocol, and I bought Fable III at the behest of my partner (aka what have I done). No idea what the full costs entail since I deleted the Steam emails but I would be very surprised if the full bill went over $85-100. Basically less than the cost of a single game here in Australia.
