He was going to use the same fan translation, so it wouldn't matter. In that thread, he talks about how Steins was appealing because it was pretty much done.

JAST has updated the script as well. But I don't think a style change would be likely.

I don't think Vic would have changed much, but I'd be more optimistic with him than JAST, that's for sure.

Have you played Growlanser Generations or CoH2? They have none of the stuff you're griping about.

It's already getting significant updates so not sure what the problem with Jast taking it on is aside from no console versions.

Well that's a pretty big problem. Steins; on PS3 in the US could've been huge.


And I think I'm mixing Jast up with MangaGamer's horrible work on Higurashi.

JAST doesn't have the resources for that really they have everyone working on S;G at the moment from what they've told me. It's priority #1.

I share your desire. If I ever get the money, I might get the PC version, but I would gladly take a Vita version on PSN.

Huge is a stretch, no VN is going to be huge in the West. Steam is probably it's best chance to find a niche anywhere.
