I've always thought this would make for an interesting adaptation. I'm in.
Not so sure about the weird period looking clothes and whatnot, are they seeing it in the 70's? Might explain the total lack of all the ultramarathon type gear we have today.
who signs up for that - it doesnt fly as a concept..
I haven't read nearly all King books but this one is one of my favorites. I thought he wrote it under an alias?
The Long Walk's steadfast focus on the lives and emotions of the walkers themselves is an exceptional choice, allowing the film to be tense, moving, and complex. It's one of the best horror movies of the year, leaving an impact that will last long after the credits roll
Shawshank and Green Mile?I guess "The Mist" and "IT" will continue to be the best King-adaptions. This looks......not worth wasting time on.
I think Shawshank is, far and away, the best conceptualization of IDEAS from King. I think most of his early works which were narratively more direct and more focused on just a few strong characters were much better adaptation fodder. His later stuff has become so layered, diffuse, and plot nebulous that adpations suffer. Though I admit to falling off the King train somewhere around the 11/27/67 book give or take, so his more recent stuff may be different.Shawshank and Green Mile?
There was a treadmill screening for this movie lol; walk for 98 minutes or get kicked out of the movie
