It was not sold in Japan, and it will not be sold in America (it's a permanent replacement, so Capcom doesn't really want it on its record that people goofyglued up their PSPs wrong.) It has made some rounds in the media as a free gift, however, so it may be offered as a promo here in the same way that only a few were released in Japan (a special gift, and if it jacks up your PSP, they can at least handle replacement on the small quantity that takes it ... or put in a waver before you enter into the promo.)

What? I thought that this was just a cover? Clearly in the picture used to promote the D-Pad for SFA 3, shows that it goes over the PSP's D-Pad....

Ordered from NCSX. Apparently all copies will ship with the d-pad cover. Dunno if that's true of all online retailers. FYI, the d-pad cover is attached with a strong adhesive. Once it's on, it's on... unless you pry it off and ruin the adhesive.
