I guess this is fine if you play Street Fighter as an e-sport, but I believe the vast majority of Street Fighter players loved the pick up and play aspect of local co-op at the arcade and the home.
It's a funky experiment to apply the grinding system of games built around economies of leveling and item collection to a game where all the characters are static.
And in that sense it's a really hard game to love. In lieu of players becoming absolutely committed to the game to grind and unlock content, you have a very very very expensive game.
I dont play SFV as an e-sport. I play it for the pick up and play aspect I loved back in the day. I come home from work, hop on for 20 minutes, and hop off like a responsible salary man. Ive earned almost 1.6 million FM playing like this, enough for 16 characters, when only 11 have been released.
Earning Fight Money is no grind if you play the game regularly, and if you dont play the game regularly you dont need all that damn Fight Money anyway.
