Ugh, I was in training mode for five minutes before getting disconnected, and now I can't connect to the server at all.

I haven't been able to play a single online match across either beta so far. It's unbelievable how bad these server issues are. It's good that Capcom is ironing them out now, but could they really have been *this* thoroughly unprepared?

Further tweaking server settings. Please try logging back after you are disconnected. It can take up to 10 minutes for you to log back in.

Netcode is good (not great so far), matchmaking blows.

Have you ever played BlazBlue, Xrd or Persona 4 Arena (Ultimax) online?

It's good. Better than SF4 was already. But there are games that still operate better. I'd say SSB4's is still better, too.
 
think i going to call it a night getting disconnect every 15 to 20 mins .
Karin is loads of fun but you have to make sure you use QCF K , P in all your combos if you want damage even in rekka mode .
A good damage combo with her in rekka mode is cr.MP, st.MP QCF K , P , QCF P and up P .

My friends want to go to the bar and I just want to keep playing since it seems they'll fix the matchmaking with this reset. What do I do GAF?

Netcode is pretty great overall but KI beats it.

Hard to tell when you can't see people's pings, and matchmaking feeling not on point yet...

Welp I think that was a lot of good runs. Karin is really fun and I may pick her up as my main. Vega/Mika have been fun so far too. The game is good. Love it.

For the love of god where the fuck i fight with other people, i am here fighting cpu for like one hour and only had real fight :S

Lost ofcourse cause i suck at fighters and never played street fighter game xD

I want to fight vs people not the cpu :´(

Well first of all you can do b.mp to swing them behind you, so more chances to throw them into the closer wall. If you get a wall bounce you can go into f+HP then into qcf+k.

Also you can do a combo like this without the wall:

(j.hp/ charged HK) > st.mp > f.mp > f.mp > f+vtrigger > qcf+k

or

(j.hp/ charged HK) > st.mp > st.hp > f+vtrigger > st.hp > qcf+k

Well, I took a chance with my ancient GPU and yeah, it didn't work out. It chokes, not even whiffing 60fps, even on lowest settings. I mean, I sort of knew, but wished so bad that it was somehow miraculously optimized. Bad news: Hello again, Dual Shock life. Good news: Clear incentive to finally shell out for new GPU.

But man, just to use the stick for a second....sigh.

cr.mp -> cr.mk also works as a link for Karin. I thought I tried that first...

Except for the fact V.Skill works as a nice extra normals extension, I'm not really fiending to use her rekka's all the time. Her normal moveset is also nice, and has loads of variations. If they locked super cancelling behind her V.Trigger moves, I'd understand... (Oh, and please don't do this, lol.) She's a lot safer with all the options out of Rekka's though, love that back dash.

Has anyone found a reason why'd you want to use down+P after qcf+k? It has a different hit effect than most other moves. Any special properties, like single hit armor or something?

c.MK xx QCF K->P with Karin is so good.

I like doing c. MP, c. MK xx QCF K->P, QCF K->d.P, Super. V-Skill also works instead of the shoulder. Does slightly less damage but is much easier and builds v-gauge.

Damn. I tried DS4Tool, DS4Windows and a Dualshock 3 XInput wrapper and neither one fixed the issue with my TE2 being unrecognizable by the beta client. Might just go back to the PS4 version. At least I know the game runs flawlessly on my PC.

I've only gotten cr.MP into cr.MP to work if I cross-up in the corner.
Pretty sure two launches do more damage than QCB K
Could be, yeah. I haven't been testing damage but you can follow the QCB+K at the end with an EX QCB+P I'm sure.

Did anyone else get the problem with the SFV game not booting on Steam? It boots up and then it minimizes automatically. I try to get back in but it minimizes again.

Edit: Or not, now it works all of a sudden. smh

There are a few ways to combo into QCF+K. f.HP is one. Irish Whip -> Hits Corner -> charge HK -> QCF+K. Then there are ways to combo into it using V-Trigger.

Midscreen, I think you can do a V-Trigger at the edge of the screen to force a bounce. I recall seeing a twitter post with it but I can't remember where.

Nadeshiko has two uses, combo extenders or mix-ups.

Using Nadeshiko lets you get big damage for eg
You can do standing strong punch call Nadeshiko pressing forward , then do stand medium punch ,hard kick then EX QCF K .
Has to be EX or it won't connect .
 
English Karin is whack. She doesn't even do the oh hohoho laugh after her super. She does the ah hahaha laugh.

Nope. Peach bomber is pretty useless as anything but an ender.

If you have vtrigger, using a -> or <- vtrig is a great ender set up. You can chain it with ex peach bomber for some extra damage.

I've been playing around with j.hp, mp, -> mp, <- Vtrig, hp, vtrig hits, ex peach bomber

Make sure you run them as administrator!!!!

same thing happened to me with rising thunder.

and just use joy2key or whatever, if you go back a few pages in this thread, you'll find several tutorials of people who had the exact same problem.

steam page has tutorial also

That's exactly what Floe was messing around with on stream earlier. EX -> MP -> QCF+K. LK leaves you in front, MK crosses you under.
