Finally got ranked to work and won my inaugural game

1. The game is FINALLY working as well as the most recent beta.
2. I've given up on Ken. I'm too used to his SFIV incarnation, and everyone apparently knows my game plan and destroys me.
3. I switched to Karin. I'm doing MUCH better... currently on a 4 win ranked win streak...and ALMOST ALMOST won against some ranked 605.

I don't know if Karin is just that good, or if people just aren't too familiar with her move set and mixups.

Yeah Ken has issues, all the characters out poke him. I'm not giving up just yet. Karin and Laura are my other two characters I'm interested in however. Made it to rank 300 so far with Ken though. Just getting destroyed by Bisons

Wooo 1st Ranked win. 1-9 now! Really helped looking at a couple of replays from the top players, 8 and 11 were Laura so took a look..a lot more defensive and lots of fierce kick usage..Won next match then almost beat a Cammy 1st round (wasn't expecting CA with both of us 1 hit from KO), then destroyed me in round 2 ;p.

Either way, having fun. Still suck execution-wise, wanting to use Laura's elbow and end up throwing punches instead, but all good, that'll come in time.

That's a rage quit since they can disconnect right before the data were sent so you wouldn't able to get any victory point or fight money. I had few rage quits when I was trying to get third win in row trophy. I finally got it awhile ago.

Does the game use the map location or the flag for matchmaking? As I selected the SFV flag by mistake and I cannot now change this.

is there like a 'comeback' mechanic? Coz these 2 recent loses of mine seem suss.

You get a v-trigger and average almost a ca (like .8) every round. since CA's are special cancellable they are really easy to confirm into for most characters. also no chip deaths is basically a comeback mechanic

Any suggestions on not doing weird inputs on stick? The Hayabusa stick is really sensitive. Like, I do an fb, right? And i'll have another right input after the punch + right input. Or I'll do air kicks, which is 2369632 and when I'll finish it with a 1 or something.

I quickly selected United States and wasn't sure if it asked for specific region in the US (PST/EST/etc.) because I was just happy that the online is working and wanted to hop on ranked lol

Uhhh so I beat Normal survival with Bison and then went to check out the colours. Low and behold it only unlocked the colours for his Battle Costume (the pre-order one) and not his default.
So in other words you need to complete all of the trials witch each costume for each character to unlock them. Unlocking for one costume doesn't unlock them for all costumes.

Try to play a hit and run/zoning style. He can capitalize a lot on stray hits made by forcing your opponent to make mistakes.

no I know about v-trigger. I meant is there like a "25% boost in damage if under 10% of health" or anything like that.

Any aspiring Mika player should incorporate this type of V-Trigger usage into your corner game.

There's a few different ways you can use it to dash under the opponent for a grounded reset into another wall combo. Does so much damage/stun and I've yet to run into anyone who blocks it the first time I use it.

yea not happy about this, seems to be some exploits online though. I'm sure some1 will figure out tricks against the CPU soon enough for every character. Trying to beat it legit is ridiculous with every character.

This is ridiculous. I kinda like the survival mode but I don't want to do three runs of it every time I get a new costume.

No he's good.

I'd say Geif, Sim, Rmika, and Fang might be the "worst". Just seem like match up dependent characters more so than the rest of the cast.

By worst I don't mean they are bad and I'm mostly talking out of my ass.
